3 Purpose: : To manage the national programme s etechnologies including: coordinating and managing all aspects of the ecald website including developing/updating multi-media promotional materials; and developing mailchimp templates, content and database to increase the web presence for our national promotion campaign. developing new and updating existing e-learning objects and HTML learning resources for online courses and resources; and providing learning system application support. producing reports to track utilisation and outputs as part of results-based outcome requirements (including creating and supporting a PHP transactional database). KEY TASKS Increase web presence and manage all aspects of website To support new projects and quality assurance EXPECTED OUTCOMES Content is developed accurately for website when required All content contribution from external contributors are edited and published accurately and promptly Auditing are made for web pages at regular interval as part of quality assurance News and updates are published accurately Layer and graphic designs and functionality are implemented and managed professionally Overall web functionality is consistent, to ensure visitors can access information easily Publications and translated resources are categorised accurately for ease of navigation Archives of old content are managed accordingly Documentation of all publications, resources are filed systematically Master copy of all resources are saved appropriately on g drive User documentation is created and maintained or updated professionally Google analytics are retrieved monthly Website management is provided eg creating access permissions for administrators Multi-media promotional materials for national campaign or promotional activity are created professionally with appropriate graphics, audio, content Mailchimp templates for national campaign or promotional activity are created professionally with appropriate graphics and content Mailchimp database for national campaign is created when needed for specific audience New responsive e-learning objects and HTML learning resources to cater for different browsers and, with graphics for interactive exercises or enhancing page-designs, as well as multi-media, are developed, when required Existing e-learning objects and HTML learning resources are updated as per quality assurance requirements at regular intervals Waitemata District Health Board -JOB DESCRIPTION - Page 3
4 System application support is provided (eg investigating and fixing coding issues or multi-media issues for different browsers (eg Firefox, Mac, Chrome, IE8 etc) and devices) as well as tested when issues are reported by learners/users PHP transactional database PHP web-based transactional database to track helpdesk CALD enquiries /service outputs is created and maintained Reports are produced monthly as part of results-based outcome for MoH Existing e-learning objects and HTML learning resources are updated as per quality assurance requirements at regular intervals Templates Development of templates and promotional materials with graphics and layout to match ecald brand and colours as and when required Reporting Reports for web publications are produced accurately Monthly reports on result-based outputs produced accurately and on time Other reports produced accurately when required Other duties As and when required to be completed on time and efficiently Statutory & Treaty of Waitangi obligations To recognise Individual Responsibility for Workplace Health and Safety under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 Ensures the professional and political integrity of WDHB by carrying out all functions in compliance of the Treaty of Waitangi and by demonstrating a serious commitment to keeping the treaty alive. 5 PERSON SPECIFICATION Preferred Minimum Qualification Diploma or degree in relevant qualification eg Computer Science, Information Technology, Web and Graphic Design Experience years of experience in web development, content management, web design, and database management Extensive experience using MS Word, Excel, Outlook and familiar with accessing and using the Internet Extensive experience in the use of HTML software (MS Frontpage, Dreamweaver, etc ) as well as CSS, SQL, PHP and JavaScript coding for development websites Intermediate-Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash Player, Indesign and Illustrator to create, resize or change graphical content / images for website Extensive experience in and knowledge of quality systems administration and best practice and their application to the health industry Experience in developing and implementing content management systems Skills/Knowledge/Behaviour Excellent customer services focus Well-developed interpersonal skills Excellent presentation skills Knowledge of health industry Knowledge of cultural competency Diplomacy, tact, sensitivity Well-developed conceptual thinking with a strategic focus Full NZ driver s license Being comfortable operating in a small team as well as being able to liaise with staff at all levels of the organisation Training in Web Development and Graphic Design using HTML editing software (eg MS Frontpage, Dreamweaver, etc) 3-5 years of experience in web development, content management, web design, and database management Experience with using HTML editing software (MS Frontpage, Dreamweaver etc) as well as CSS, SQL, PHP and JavaScript coding for developing websites Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash Player, In-design and Illustrator to create, resize or change graphical content / images for website Extensive experience using MS Word, Excel, Outlook and familiar with accessing and using the Internet Excellent communication skills with emphasis on writing skills.
