2 Loading of NIT on Website Steps to be followed in loading the NIT on website. Login the computer and screen as above will appear. Click on my Computer and the screen as shown on page No.2 will appear. BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 2

3 Working With Ms-Word and PDF Select Local Disk (C:) and double click to open and to view the content of C:\ drive. BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 3

4 To open the contents of on Local Disk (C:) double click on C:\ drive, the above screen will appear, and Ee1chd folder already existing will also appear. (Note: This folder will appear automatically when you will load the software of NIT Website of your Zone, according to the name given by the vendor as desired by the respective Chief Engineer of the Zone. e.g. In the above screen the folder existing with name Ee1chd belongs to Chandigarh Civil Division-I of Punjab Zone.) 5 Open the folder to start working on a new file by double clicking on the folder name. Make new file in this folder and give name to that file with NIT No. e.g. ALTNIT. (File icon with file name as given by you (ALTNIT) will appear. The file which you have made in the Ee1chd folder will be a Word document file. Open this file ALTNIT TTT by clicking twice on the icon of this file. BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 5

6 After opening the file ALTNIT the blank screen as shown above will appear on the monitor of your computer. BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 6

7 Write the necessary contents/ details of the NIT like: i) NIT No: ii) Name of Work. iii) Estimated Cost. iv) Earnest Money. v) Cost of tender. vi) Time of completion. vii) Date of application. viii) Date of sale of tender. ix) Date of opening of tender. Etc. After inputting all the necessary relevant information in detail which you want that it should publish in the NIT, save the file by pressing Ctrl + S or by clicking on the Save Icon BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 7

8 Save this file in the Ee1chd folder Now to convert this MSword document into PDF(portable document format) go to print option from file menu or CTRL+P. (NOTE: To convert the Word document in PDF format, you should have PDF convertor/ creator software like Win2PDF, PDF Creator, installed on your system) BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 8

9 After clicking on print command, the print box will pop up, as shown above. BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 9

10 Now to convert this document into PDF select the type of PDF convertor from the name option in print box. BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 10

11 After you select the name of PDF convertor, click Ok. BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 11

12 To save the PDF converted file select the desired folder form save-in option in the file save popup box. Once you have selected the folder you can now save the file in that folder by clicking on save button. ( NOTE : while saving the file in PDF format the file name will appear by default in the FILE NAME box) BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 12

13 To check whether the Word Document has been converted into PDF format, you can now view it by opening the folder in which you have saved this file i.e. Ee1chd. As shown in the image above: which shows the ALTNIT-1.pdf file and ALTNIT.doc file. BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 13

To Start With Dreamweaver: To start working in Dreamweaver you first need to install the Dreamweaver Software on your system. Once you install the software, its icon will appear on the desktop and you can open it by double clicking on its icon. 16 Now to open the HTML page in which you want to insert the NIT details, or any corrigendum related to NIT open the HTML page already existing in Ee1chd folder. To open this HTML page go to file menu and select the open option. From open you can select the desired folder in which the HTML page is existing by clicking on the HTML page. (NOTE: HTML page is already created by the vendor and is existing in Ee1chd folder by default) The HTML page in which the necessary detail is to be incorporated will be opened as shown below. 19 To make necessary changes to the HTML page follow these steps : To Merge Cell For Inserting The Desired NIT Detail: 1. Go to modify 2. Select table option 3. In the table option select merge cell. BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 19

20 The cell will be merged as shown above. After merging the cell you can write the details of the NIT making Clear separation between previous entries in NIT and the new once made by you. BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 20

21 Now to link your PDF file i.e. ALTNIT.pdf to this HTML you need to make a link in HTML page with the help of Dreamweaver. BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 21

22 To hyperlink of PDF file. Go to insert in the menu bar, select the link or hyperlink option form there the above screen will appear. 1. In the hyperlink box, write the text in text box as per your desired notation for the PDF file. For Example : Download Tender Document 2. Now in the link text box, write the name of PDF file to be linked with HTML page, which will be uploaded to the website with the HTML page and can be opened and downloaded from website. 3. 23 After incorporation the required details of NIT, save the file. BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 23

24 Uploading the HTML Page on BSNL Server To upload the HTML page in which you have incorporated the details of NIT Observe the following steps: 1. Open the web browser internet explorer. 2. In the address bar write the name to website e.g For the security alert popup click OK and proceed. BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 24

25 Once you open that website the file manager login box will appear. To open file manager enter the USERNAME and PASSWORD. Once you enter the username and password click LOGIN. BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 25

26 After you login to file manager you will see the page as shown in the image above. This page will be containing the list of number of HTML pages already uploaded in the BSNL server by division. This file manger page will contain the option for uploading the HTML pages. BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 26

27 Now in order to upload the HTML page in to file manager. Select the HTML page from the Ee1chd folder by clicking on the browse button in the file manager page. The choose file popup will appear. Select the desired folder. Double Click the folder name to see the contents of that folder. BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 27

28 Once you double click the selected folder, the contents of the folder will be open up. Now you can select the desired HTML page i.e. the page in which you have incorporated the details of NIT. Once you select that HTML page, click open. BSNL India For Internal Circulation Only Page: 28

29 When you click on open in the choose file popup, the upload file text box in file manager will show the complete path of that HTML page i.e. C:\Ee1chd\teecichd.html. You can now click on upload button on the file manager page to upload that HTML page to the web server. Once you upload the HTML page you now have to upload the PDF file. (In order to upload the PDF file, we need to follow the same steps as stated above for the HTML page) After uploading the HTML and PDF file, you can logout from file manager by clicking on logout in file manager page.
