3 ABOUT THIS GUIDE The Money Transfer module within VNB Connect Plus allows you to transfer money between accounts at different financial institutions or affiliate banks. Money Transfer supports both domestic and international money transfers. This guide provides an overview on money transfer templates, free-form money transfer requests, approvals, cut-off times and the overall money transfer process. Page 3 of 23
4 GENERAL SYSTEM NAVIGATION Selecting a Service Function To navigate to any service (function): 1. Select a Group Select a service group from the group list on the upper left corner of any page on the system. This list displays all service groups you are permitted to access. When you select a group, all associated services for that group appear as tabs at the top of the page. Screen Image of Main Menu 2. 5 Accessing VNB Connect Plus Help To access useful system links: Select one of the links from the top right portion of any screen to access helpful information: My Dashboard: Select this button to go back to main landing page Help: Select this button for help in the current web page or service. Bulletins: Select this button to view any active bulletins. Contacts: Select this button to access contact information page. This page contains contact information for Valley National Bank Corporate and Government Services and VNB Connect Customer Support. Logout: Select this button to exit the system. Page 5 of 23
6 MONEY TRANSFER Introduction to Money Transfer The Money Transfer product: allows customers to transfer money between accounts at different financial institutions or affiliate banks supports both domestic and international money transfers. Money Transfer Services The following table describes the money transfer services: Name Service ID Description MONEY Wire Input TRANSFER MTIn SERVICE GROUP Allows corporate personnel to add money transfer requests. They can use money transfer templates to add the requests or enter free-form requests. Bank Short List MTBShortList Allows corporate personnel to add and manage their bank short list, which is a personalized list of banks they use for money transfer activity. Wire Report MTRpts Allows corporate personnel to request and view processed money transfer reports, which display the customer's approved money transfer requests Wire Templates (Customer) MTCustTempl Allows corporate personnel to add and manage money transfer templates for their own personal use or for use by other corporate users. Wire Approval MTApprove Allows corporate personnel to manage pending money transfer requests. Pending money transfer requests are money transfer requests that require approval. They can use this service to approve requests delete requests edit requests unlock requests from their user ID Setup a wire template These templates are created for recurring wires. 1. Select Money Transfer from the drop-down. Page 6 of 23
7 2. Select the Wire Templates tab. Select the Add button to add new template. Select the Change button to change an existing template. Select the Delete button to delete an existing template. Select the Display button to view detailed information on an existing template. Note: You can select the Wire Report tab to view status of any wires. Page 7 of 23
8 Adding a Template 1. Enter Template Code (12)*. (This is a unique code for the template that will be listed on Wire Templates page). 2. Select the Add button on the Wire Templates page. 3. Select the account to be debited (Funding Account). The Save for option lets you save the template for all users to use or just for the current user creating the template. All fields in red are required to be entered. 4. Enter Template Name (35)*. (This is the name for the template that will be listed on Wire Templates page). Page 8 of 23
9 5. Enter Account Name (35)*. (This is the beneficiary account name). 6. Enter Account Number (34)*. (This is the beneficiary account number). 7. Select Account Currency. (Defaults to USD US Dollar). 8. Enter Address 1 (35)*. (This will be the beneficiary street address). 9. Enter Address 2 (35)*. (This will be beneficiary city, state, and zip code). 10. Enter Address 3 (35)*. (This is an optional field if more space is required for address information). *(#): parenthesis denotes the maximum number of characters allowed for corresponding field. 11. Enter the beneficiary bank information (ABA/ Routing #, SWIFT code or name). * * S.W.I.F.T. codes - Verify the SWIFT code provided by the beneficiary is valid at * * S.W.I.F.T. codes After verification of valid SWIFT code, Contact VNB Connect Support to add SWIFT codes. Select Search button to find beneficiary bank. Here you can search for the beneficiary bank by Routing #, SWIFT code or Bank Name. Page 9 of 23
10 * SWIFT codes- Contact our Customer Support to add additional SWIFT codes to the wire bank list. 12. Enter the Routing #/SWIFT code * or Name. 13. Select the Find button. 14. Click on the line entry to select beneficiary bank. Routing information will automatically display in proper fields. 15. Originator-to-Beneficiary Information additional information provided to the beneficiary * This information will always appear when selecting template. Page 10 of 23
11 16. Bank-to-Bank Information additional information provided to the receiving bank * This information will always appear when selecting template. 17. After all correct information is entered, select the Submit button to create a template or select the Reset button to clear all fields. Page 11 of 23
12 Changing a Template 1. Select template on Wire Templates page. 2. Select the Change button. Page 12 of 23
13 3. Select account to be debited (Funding Account) and select the Continue button. 4. Change any desired information. 5. Select Submit button to accept changes, Rename button to change Template Code or Reset button to clear all fields. Page 13 of 23
14 Deleting a Template 1. Select the template on the Wire Templates page. 2. Select the Delete button. 3. A pop-up box will appear. 4. Select OK button to delete the template or the Cancel button to go back. Page 14 of 23
15 Displaying a Template 1. Select the template on the Wire Templates page. 2. Select the Display button. 3. Your wire template will appear. You can print this template for your records. Page 15 of 23
16 SENDING A WIRE Cut-off times Domestic wires entered before 4:00 PM will be processed on that business day. International wires entered before 2:30 PM will be processed on that business day. All wires entered after the designated times will be processed on the next bank business day. Wire Input 1. Select Money Transfer from the drop-down. 2. Select the Wire Input Tab. 3. Here you can select either an existing template from the Available Templates box or you can choose to initiate a Free-form wire by selecting an account from the Available Accounts box. Page 16 of 23
17 Selecting from Available Templates This option is for recurring transfers. Select desired template from box. Template information will display. Enter transfer Amount with decimal (Ex: ) and Send Date (MM/DD/YYYY) After all required information is entered, select the Submit button to send wire. Select Save as Template button to save the template under a different name. To clear fields, select the Reset button. Select the Calendar icon to display a calendar for date selection, or you may type the date in the format shown. Selecting from Available Accounts This option is for non-recurring (free-form) wires. Select the desired account from box. Page 17 of 23
18 Select the Create Template button to create a new template. Same search options apply as in Creating A Wire Template section. FreeFrom Bank- allows you to manually enter the Beneficiary Bank information. 1. Enter Account Name (35) *. (Beneficiary account name) 2. Enter Account Number (34) *. (Beneficiary account number) 3. Select Account Currency. (Defaults to USD US Dollar. Applies to international transfer only.) 4. Enter Address 1 (35) *. (Beneficiary street address) 5. Enter Address 2 (35) *. (Beneficiary city, state, and zip code). 6. Enter Address 3 (35) *. (This is an optional field if more space is required for address information). 7. Enter the beneficiary bank information (ABA/ Routing #, SWIFT code or name). * * SWIFT codes-contact VNB Connect Support to add additional SWIFT codes. * * SWIFT codes- - provides valid SWIFT codes. 8. 19 9. Enter Target Bank or Intermediary Bank, if needed. ]* * (#) : parenthesis denotes number of characters allowed for corresponding field. 10. Select the Submit button after all information has been entered. 11. Select the Reset button to clear all fields. Page 19 of 23
20 Submitting Wire A final overview of wire will appear. You can select the Enter button to send wire or select the Clear button to go back. After selecting the Enter button, a wire confirmation page will appear. You can print this for your records. Page 20 of 23
21 Approving a wire 1. Select Money Transfer from the drop-down or click on the link in the pop-up window to get to the approval screen. 2. Select the Wire Approval tab. Wire information will display. Select the Approve All button to approve all wires. You can approve, delete, or edit the wire by selecting the red triangle or selecting the check box and selecting the Submit Selections button. *Please be aware that if you edit a wire, a separate approver is needed to approve the wire. 22 FOREIGN EXCHANGE Introduction to Foreign Exchange (FX) Rates The FX Rates Report provides foreign exchange rate information for VNB Connect Plus customers. These rates are updated every business day no later than 10:30 AM. FX Service Group Name Service ID Description FX Report FXRept Allows corporate users to review FX rate information. View FX Report 1. Select Foreign Exchange from dropdown. 2. Select FX Report tab. 3. Select Region or click here to view All Regions. Page 22 of 23
