3 Introduction Schneider Electric is pleased to announce the release of iportal 2.0, designed with a fresh new look and user-friendly navigation representing the latest information about our products and services. The new version of iportal resolves many customer pain points and implements new features based upon a detailed customer survey that was compiled and accumulated over the course of several months. To summarize, the current features available in iportal remain but the new version will include many new features including: Improved Search Capabilities Facets and filters to narrow selections Improved navigation and user experience Cross browser compatibility! 4 We are very excited about the release of iportal 2.0 and the enhancements we have made. In the coming months, we will continue improving the site so that it strengthens our business relations. We would appreciate your thoughts on how our efforts have resonated with you! Page 3

5 Frequently Asked Questions Account Management Q: Can I change my own password? Yes! Under User Admin/Preferences click Change Password and enter the required information. Q: Am I able to set up New Users? Yes. Under User Admin/Preferences click on Create User and enter the required information (feature based upon specific role within iportal). Page 4

6 Q: Can I delete a user from the Account List? No. You can inactivate their status under the Modify User section, but their information will still show in the Account List. Q: What is Enable a Location? Enable a Location allows you to set up your other locations and give them access to iportal. You only enable a location once. Once the location has been enabled you would then Login As A Location to view order status of the orders that were placed for that location (based upon a specific role within iportal). Q: Can I delete addresses that show in the Shopping Cart? Yes. You have the ability to delete and sort your addresses in Manage Address under the User Admin/Preferences menu (based on a specific role within iportal). Page 5

8 Order Status Q: What is the feature All Open Order Lines? All Open Order Lines will allow you to export all of your open orders into an excel file. Q: How long will I have access to my orders on iportal? Orders will be available on iportal for up to 2 years. For information on any orders older that 2 years you need to contact Customer Care. Q: Can Order Acknowledgements be reprinted on iportal? Yes. You have access to all of your Order Acknowledgements on iportal. They are available on the Order Status screen of each order. Page 7

9 Q: Can Invoices be reprinted on iportal? Yes. You can access your invoices through the Order Status feature or under the Finance module. Page 8

10 Returns/Claims Q: Can I process a return from within iportal? There is no automated return process from within iportal but you can download the form below to begin the process claims process. Page 9

11 Products and Product Search Q: Can I search by Product Category? Yes. The Product Category Browse is a hierarchy tree of all the products that are available on iportal. This feature allows you to search for products using a brief description of a category. This feature is located on the left hand side of the page after selecting Product Search from the main menu. Q. Is there a Wild Card search available? Yes. A Wild Card search is available using the star (*) symbol in the search field. Everything entered AFTER the star (*) is ignored. For example, if you want to produce a list of products that begin with i286, you would type i286* in the search box and click Search. Once you do so, a list of products that match that search criteria will be displayed. Page 10

12 Q: Are there advanced search features available? Yes. The search also supports advanced features using a combination of special characters. These special characters are summarized below. () to wrap around content to separate keywords - to remove keywords from search * wildcard character Below are some examples on how to use these special characters in the search. (nike adidas) & -(shoes hats) returns matches for nike OR adidas AND removes any shoes OR hats nike adidas shoes hats returns nike OR adidas OR shoes OR hats ni* will match any keyword that starts with ni You can use these special characters in different combinations to return different results. 13 Q: How do I adjust the sort or increase the number of products on the Product List Page? You can control certain aspects of the display by utilizing various buttons on the product list page. Sort Order This feature will sort items either by popularity (based on user clicks), List Pricing, or by name. Selecting the appropriate value from the list will change the order of products in the results you have selected Items Per Page By default, iportal will display 12 items per page. If you would like to increase the number of items displayed on your page you can select the appropriate value from the drop down. In addition, you can utilize the page numbers to link to the desired page. Page 12

14 Grid View vs List View By default, iportal will display the products in a grid view. If you would like to display the products in a more traditional list, you can select the appropriate blue button at the top right hand side of the product list. Page 13

15 Q: Are product datasheets available on iportal? Yes. Once you find the product that you are looking for, clicking on the picture which will then take you to the Product Detail screen where the links to the data sheets are available. Page 14

16 Shopping Carts Q: How do I access my shopping cart? The shopping cart is always available at the top of the page. You can access the shopping cart at any time by clicking the Shopping Cart link. Q: Where are all the old shopping cart features from iportal 1.0? Alive and well! You can find all the old shopping cart features once you click the Shopping Cart link. Q: Can I export my shopping cart into an Excel File? Yes. This feature is available. Simply click on the Export to Excel button on the Shopping Cart. Page 15

17 Q: Can I upload forms for products that require them (i.e. License Agreements, HID Forms, etc)? Yes. Once you have the product in the Shopping Cart you can then upload the required forms by clicking on Manage Forms. Blank forms are also provided. Page 16

18 Q: Is there an area to enter my valve tags? Valve tags can be entered by clicking on the Customize Order Line feature next to the product on the Shopping Cart. Q: Can I bulk import products from a Spreadsheet? Yes. iportal also provides the capability to bulk import items to the shopping cart directly utilizing a spreadsheet template or a comma delimited list. This is useful if another system provides you a list of materials that you need to order. By specifying the part number and quantity within a spreadsheet, you can utilize the Bulk Import feature to automatically load those materials directly to a shopping cart. Once you select the Bulk Import link a form is displayed which provides details on how to load a list of parts using a spreadsheet. The image at the top of the form is a reminder about the format of the spreadsheet. Page 17

19 To summarize, your spreadsheet should contain the following headings in the order specified below: Part Number Quantity Metal Tag Paper Tag Part Number and Quantity are always mandatory while Meta Tag and Paper Tag are optional. Finally, the worksheet that contains these columns MUST be named Sheet1. Page 18
