1 Linking Windows Link one window to other windows, so that changing the symbol on the first window changes the symbol on the linked windows (we ll call them child windows). If you link trading windows, you can also change the account on all child windows by changing the account on the master window. In addition to being able to change the symbol through links, you can also change price information. Changing the underlying contract in a master Options window, the put option for the active month, which is in the money, is applied to child windows. Moving the price cursor will apply the active month and selected strike price to child windows. Changing the chart cursor the price changes on the Order Ticket. 2 To link windows 1. Click the CQG logo button on the top left corner of the window you want to link. This window becomes the master window. 2. Point to Link windows, then click a color. A message lets you know that you are in linking mode. A colored square appears on the top right corner of the master window and the cursor changes. 2

3. Click the window you want linked to the master. Windows to be linked must be open before you are in linking mode; you cannot select Link windows and then open a window to link.

When you are finished linking windows, right-click to exit linking mode. Notice that now when you change the symbol on the master, the child changes. In the case of the Quote Board, clicking a different cell changes the symbol in the child. Clicking a contract on an Options window, changes the child. Changing the account on a trading master window changes the account on trading child windows. To link other sets of master and child windows, follow these same steps. You will not be able to link a new master to an existing child. To link additional windows 1. To add child windows to an existing master, click on the colored square. 2. Click Link more windows. The cursor changes. 3. Click the windows you wish to link. 4. When you are finished creating links, right-click. 3
