You will find it listed as the Ambassador Membership in the Library. The Full Library owners within the Life On Wings family, of which over twenty five percent are clergy, have praised the library and endorsed it as the most comprehensive Christian formation resource available. 3 Opening the drive will produce this initial screen on a Mac when set to Icon View: Opening in Windows when set to Large Icon view: Let s take a look at the Icons, Folders and Files and the contents within. You can open each of these elements with a double click. Please, however do not open the Tools * folder * Tools A folder containing elements that make the programs work. Please Do Not Enter. (F) The actual Scriptural Index database entries. (G) A statement about the Copyright and Duplication policy pertaining to the Life On Wings audio teachings and support notes in the Timeline folders. (H) A Guide for Meditation and Contemplation (I) The entire Life On Wings catalog with Topics and Titles. Additionally, you will see Icons for three (3) Players and an Icon for the Players Loader. THE LIFE ON WINGS AUDIO PLAYERS: In an effort to make your listening and reading as easy as possible your Library comes with three (3) Player options designed to play your selections in a straightforward way directly associated with the Topics and Titles as they appear in the library catalog. These are convenience applications to be used with your computer, tablet and phones. In the instance that a player is not compatible with your device or browser, you always have the option of playing the audio files and viewing/printing the Timeline commentary notes directly from their folder locations. Using your COMPUTER (These shots are from the Icon View you may have your computer set to a List view, but you will see the LOW Loader.html file if you look; also the Windows user depicted here is using Firefox as a browser and your image could be different. NOTE If you are using Google Chrome or Internet Explorer version 9-11 you should review the end of this document to view a couple of settings that you may need to make in your browser): With respect to the Players, the first thing you should is Double left click the LOW Loader.html File icon Mac à OR Windows à Safari Firefox Version 3.1 4

5 which will produce a screen similar to this: It would be very productive for you to spend some time checking out all of the Tabs and Links, especially the Tab About Player. * Please note that the players work nicely on your computer (Mac or Windows), but when used on Tablets and Smartphones, those devices have to have a Micro SD card installed with the entire Library onboard. Whilst Micro SD cards are available for some Android devices (mostly the Samsung Galaxy series), they are not available for IOS devices. For IOS devices (iphone and ipad) most members use a specialized 64GB USB drive called ixpand to play, or to load teachings onto their device. There are some variables in this process and I am available to help you if necessary. Version 3.1 5

6 Then, when you are ready, check out each of the Player tabs to see your options. If using a Tablet with the Micro SD card you may need to download a File Manager application from the Play store. Call or write to find the best approach. Version 3.1 6

7 THE LOW MP3V2 FOLDER: In the instance that you have a device that is not capable of using the Players, here is the alternative to allow you the full use of the Audio teachings and the pdf written commentaries. The LOW MP3V2 folder contains all of the 553 audio files that make up the teaching library. Within the folder there are 45 sub-folders one for each Topic and within each Topic folder there are the appropriate audio files which are individually named with the Title of the teaching. If you should have a need to open any of these subfolders please be aware that if you alter any of the audio file locations you will cause a failure to occur in the audio player application. Just be careful in this folder. You should be able to just double click on the Title you wish and your device default audio player should start. Enjoy. Your Life On Wings experience just got so much easier, so much more efficient and so much more cost effective. 8 Technical Note regarding Chrome and Internet Explorer Read this first: Occasionally there is an incompatible setting in these two browsers. The instructions below will help you correct those settings if needed. Before you change anything, please try the Players to see if they work correctly. Only then, if they are not working correctly, follow the instructions for your browser (Google Chrome or Internet Explorer), otherwise, please do not proceed any further. Tips on fixing Google Chrome and Internet Explorer Google Chrome and PDF documents In Chrome, there is a setting that determines whether PDF documents are displayed in the Chrome browser, or saved to a local folder. If a Timeline link or button brings up a save as dialog box, the following steps will reconfigure Chrome to open the document in Chrome in a separate tab or window, subject to the player. Copy and paste the following line into Chrome s address bar: chrome://settings/content/pdfdocuments Ensure that the switch (circled in red above) is in the off position as shown above. Then use the back arrow to back out of the page. All the Timeline documents should now open in the browser, via either the Google pdf viewer or via Adobe Reader if you have that installed. 9 Internet Explorer and Compatibility Settings Please note: for Internet Explorer users, only version 9 or later are supported by the player. It is strongly recommended to upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer for your Windows operating system if you only use Internet Explorer on your computer. If you have either Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome on your computer, please use them instead. When viewing the LOW Loader webpage, if the player buttons are rectangular in shape with sharp corners (see image below), and none of the buttons work, then Internet Explorer has been configured into a compatibility mode. In compatibility mode, Internet Explorer is forced into a pre-version 9 configuration, which does not support the features required by this player. Internet Explorer 9 and later will look like the image on page 5, when correctly configured. Current research says that the Player should work correctly in Internet Explorer version 9 or later (currently version 11). To address that please follow the steps below. In Internet Explorer, there is a compatibility setting that needs to be correctly set for the player to work. To access it, left click on the gear wheel in the top right-hand corner of Internet Explorer (circled in red, just to the left of the yellow face) and select Compatibility View Settings It s just above the Internet Options in the menu that pops up in version 11 (there may be slight differences in earlier versions). Alternatively, if the Internet Explorer menus are visible, you can also access this page by clicking on the Tools menu (version 11 shown), then on the compatibility view settings. On the next page, the left hand dialog box down near the bottom left, there is a checkbox (ticked in this case) labeled Display intranet sites in Compatibility View. Version 3.1 9

10 In order for the player to work, that checkbox must be cleared by clicking on it, the result should be as shown in the right hand one. Please do not use the Add button. Click on close once done. There is another version of Compatibility View Settings dialog box, which your Internet Explorer may have, see it below. If that is the case, please ensure that all checkboxes are cleared as seen in this screenshot below. Version
