3 1 General Information AutoForm plus R5.2.4 is the fourth released patch version of AutoForm plus R5.2 and is available for download on our website from February 27, With the AutoForm plus R5.2.4 patch a bug in AutoForm-Solver plus has been fixed which occurs only when using Constant Line Beads in combination with Gap Controlled tools. Other AutoForm plus Stand-alone products are not affected. There are also no changes in AutoForm-ProcessDesigner forcatia, AutoForm- QuickLink forcatia and AutoForm-QuickLink fornx. For more detailed information, please refer to section 3 Release Content. The compatibility of data files between AutoForm plus R5.2 and AutoForm plus R5.2.4 is bidirectional, meaning that data files created with AutoForm plus R5.2.4 can be processed in AutoForm plus R5.2 and vice versa. 4 2 Installation Instructions Front-End and Back-End Windows Prerequisites The Windows patch installer updates a few files of the previously installed AutoForm plus R5.2. The patch installer will not change any configuration (installation folder, license server configuration, etc.). NOTE: It is essential that all AutoForm plus R5.2 applications are closed before starting the patch installation! Download of Installation Files 1. Start AutoForm plus R Right click on title bar of AutoForm plus R5.2 window and select the command Check for Updates. 3. AutoForm Software Updates download page is opened in the internet browser: 4. Select the link to download AutoForm plus R5.2.4 Windows 64 bit patch installation file. 3 Release Notes

5 Installation 1. Download the installation file AutoForm^plus R5.2.4 Patch Installer.zip as described above. 2. Log in using an administrator account. 3. Unzip the installation file. 4. Execute file AutoForm^plus R5.2.4 Patch Installer.exe. 5. Select Install in the Welcome dialog. 6. Depending on your user account control level, you are asked for administrator privileges. 7. After the patch installation is finished, quit the installer by clicking on the Finish button. Back-End Linux NOTE: It is essential that all AutoForm plus R5.2 applications are closed before starting the patch installation! 6 Installation 1. Download the installation file AFplus_R5.2.4_Remote_Linux64_Patch.tar.gz as described above. 2. Login in as root 3. Create the AutoForm installation directory (in the following /opt/autoform/afplus is assumed to be the installation directory, but any directory will do) mkdir p /opt/autoform/afplus 4. Copy the archive into the AutoForm installation directory: cp AFplus_R5.2_Remote_Linux64.tar.gz /opt/autoform/afplus 5. Unpack the archive in the AutoForm installation directory: cd /opt/autoform/afplus tar zxvf AFplus_R5.2_remote_linux64.tar.gz 6. 7 3 Release Content AutoForm plus Stand-alone New Features AutoForm plus Stand-alone contains no new features. Modified Features AutoForm plus Stand-alone contains no modified features. Fixed Bugs Solver Reduction of Constant Line Bead Force Factors with Gap Controlled Binder When using a drawbead of the type Constant Line Bead positioned between a tool set including one tool with Support Type Gap Controlled, e.g. Die and gap controlled Binder, the restraining and uplifting forces were dependent on the gap height: the bigger the gap the lower the drawbead forces are. With this bug fix the dependency of the Force Factors of a Constant Line Bead on a tool set with the Support Type Gap Controlled is disabled. CATIA-Embedded Products AutoForm-ProcessDesigner forcatia and AutoForm-QuickLink forcatia contain no changes. NX-Embedded Products AutoForm-QuickLink fornx contains no changes. 6 Release Notes
