2 Prerequisites IOS 10.9 Mavericks, Yosemite, El Capitan Local administrator rights on your personal Macintosh device Removal of any previous version of the UPHS VPN software Example Junos Pulse or Network Connect

3 Installation of Pulse Secure 1. Launch Safari and go to following webpage 2. Scroll Down to Quick VPN Downloads and Select Penn VPN Preferred (Mac) 3. Once software has completed downloading click Run 4. Double Click JunosPulse.pkg and install will start.

4 5. Click Continue 6. Once Pulse Secure has installed successfully Click Close

5 7. Navigate to Status Menu and Click the Button and Select Open Pulse Secure. 8. Once Pulse Secure has launched properly Click the + symbol (Purple Arrow) Enter The following information and then click Add Name (Yellow Arrow): UPHS Server URL (Green Arrow):

6 9. Click Connect 10. Enter Your UPHS Credentials (If you are not able to sign on the Pulse Secure please call the Service to verify that you have been granted access to the UPHS VPN Client)

7 11. If you have been granted access to the UPHS VPN Clinet you should see the following screen shot (Green Check Mark means you are now connceted to the UPHS Network)

8 Epic PennChart and SCM Access Please go to Installation of Pulse Secure and install the UPHS VPN Client before proceeding with PennChart and SCM remote access. 1. Launch your Web Browser and go to following webpage 2. Click Download Receiver for Mac (please note that the version displayed says 12.1 Receiver Version may change overtime. This is just for reference purposes) 3. Once Citrix Receiver has been downloaded Click Install Citrix Receiver.pkg

9 4. Click Continue 5. Click Continue

10 6. Click Continue 7. Click Agree

11 8. Click Install 9. Once Citrix has completed installing Click Close

12 10. Sign on to Pulse Secure as seen in Installation of Pulse Secure Step Navigate to Status Menu and Click the Button and Select Open Citrix Receiver 12. When you are successfully connected to Pulse Secure 5.1 Launch Citrix Receiver and enter below Citrix Receiver Address.

13 13. Once you have entered the Citrix Receiver Address successfully you will be prompted to Sign on to Citrix Receiver Username: (Must enter UPHS\ before Username. See example below) Password: 14. Click the + sign on the left to customize home screen.

14 15. Select All Applications and add PennChart, SCM etc. to home screen 16. Now you can launch PennChart, SCM etc. from the Citrix HomeScreen.

15 Connecting to your UPHS PC from home 1. Please go to Installation of Pulse Secure and install the UPHS VPN Client before proceeding with connecting to your UPHS PC. Once you have installed Pulse Secure and Signed on successfully follow the below steps. 2. Open App Store and Search for Microsoft Remote Desktop 3. Select Microsoft Remote Desktop and Install

16 4. Once Microsoft Remote Desktop installation has completed click to add your UPHS PC to the Remote Desktop application. 5. Enter the Following information... A. PC Description B. PC Name C. Username (Note that you must enter UPHS in front of your Username. See example below) D. Password 6. Click Red Dot to close configuration menu.

17 7. Double Click the connection you just created in Step 5 8. Click Continue

18 9. If you see the below Welcome Screen you have successfully connected to your UPHS PC. You should now see the same desktop you would when physically at any of the UPHS Entities. If you are not able to connected to your UPHS PC Please see the Troubleshooting Section. If you are not able to find a solution to any of your error messages, please feel free to call the UPHS Service Desk at

19 Trouble Shooting Section Error Message 1 Solution A: Please verify you have entered your UPHS credentials correctly. Solution B: Please Verify you are properly connected to Pulse Secure. Solution C: To use the Remote Feature from home your UPHS PC needs to be On and connected to the UPHS Network Error Message 2 Solution A: Please verify you have entered your UPHS credentials correctly. Please note that you must enter UPHS\ in front of your Username. Example UPHS\Test
