Due to its eccentric design the device cn be instlled in ielines tht run close to fl oors or wlls nd low oints, where condenste cn collect within the iing system, cn be voided. When instlling the defl grtion fl me rrester, mke sure tht the distnce between otentil ignition sources nd the loction of the instlled device, does not exceed the L/D rtio (ie length/ie dimeter), for which the device ws roved. According to EN 12874 the instlltion limits re L/D mx 50 for defl grtion flme rresters of exlosion grous IIA nd IIB3 (NEC grous C to D) nd L/D mx 30 for exlosion grou IIC (NEC grou B). The defl grtion fl me rrester is symmetricl nd offers bidirectionl fl me trnsmission rotection. The device consists of two housing rts (1) nd PROTEGO fl me rrester unit (2) in the center. The fl me rrester unit is modulr, consisting of severl FLAMEFILTER (3) instlled within the FLAMEFILTER cge. The number of FLAMEFILTER nd their g size deend on the devices intended use. Providing the oerting conditions such s the temerture, ressure, exlosion grou nd the comosition of the fl uid, enbles PROTEGO to select the best defl grtion fl me rrester for your liction. The FA-E series of defl grtion fl me rresters is vilble for substnces from exlosion grous IIA to IIC (NEC grous B to D).
