1 Encom Discover TM 2013 The release of Discover (and Discover 3D) 2013 from Pitney Bowes Software reinforces the Discover geoscience suite as the essential and innovative GIS toolbox for the Exploration and Natural Resources industries. Some of the highlights in this release include: Convert your downhole structural alpha/beta measurements into true dip and dipdirection values, allowing more detailed visualisation and analysis on cross-sections Captivate and astonish your project and management team with 3D television support, ensuring a fully immersive and stunning 3D experience of your project. Data Entry is now even easier and faster, with hierarchical picklists and full structural symbol implementation, amongst many new features and optimisations. Reproject both large rasters (>200Mb) and ECW imagery into required projections, to help standardise the projections of your many datasets. Both large rasters & ECW imagery can also now be Clipped with the upgraded capabilities of the Images module General MapInfo Professional 12 support Windows 8 support Automated licensing via a web service (similar to MapInfo Professional) when Microsoft Outlook is not installed. Implementation of an optional and anonymous Product Improvement Initiative program to better understand user workflow and usage of Discover, assisting Pitney Bowes Software to improve future releases. 3 Data Entry A brand new Data Entry menu and toolbar provides easy access to the many new capabilities added in Discover New grouped / hierarchical pick-lists allow easier and faster handling of large lists, such as long rock-type lists (e.g. sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic groups, with related sub-entries). New functionality replaces and expands on the popular capabilities of the ColourMap module. This includes the easy creation of picklists from an existing attributed TAB file (such as geological polygons), as well as the application of picklists to TAB files as either a thematic layer or a permanent change to the source TAB file.

5 Discover 3D TM 2013 General 3D Television Support With support for 3D Televisions and Monitors, your project and management teams can now visualise and fully appreciate your interpretations, models and complex projects in stunning and immersive full 3D (via HDMI graphics output). Modelling New Rotated Voxel Model Support Interactively create, render and export rotated voxel/block models for far faster and more flexible block modelling (as well as much smaller file sizes), particularly when mineralisation is at a significant angle to the principal axial planes.
