4 General Instructions This book can be implemented in teaching children in the Primary Nursery, or in any other situation for which it is appropriate. LDS Greats and Glorianne Muggli Books are not affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints; no book or program we publish is reviewed or endorsed by the Church. All contents of this book are for the purpose of giving ideas and suggestions only; decide for yourself through scripture study and prayer if you wish to use these materials, and if so, how you will implement them. We recommend checking with your local leaders if you wish. Because this book is offered as a free download, it may be copied by the purchaser (you) to provide archive copies for your own unit. You may pass copies on to other units - they are not required to download their own books. We appreciate your cooperation and integrity. The pages in this book are meant to be cut out and used as is. Usually when cutting items out, it is best to leave a narrow white margin all around. If you will be reusing the items, be sure to cover with clear adhesive plastic or laminate them. This book contains ideas, possibilities, and suggestions; make it work for you in whatever ways are most helpful. Contents Small, medium, and large shapes are given to teach relative sizes. Square, Rectangle, Triangle, Oval, Circle, Lines, Heart, House, Star, Flower Color percentages are given for the purpose of explaining how colors are made from mixing Magenta, Cyan, Yellow, and Black. This could be used as a guide for mixing paint colors if those colors are used as a starting point. Those paint colors are sometimes difficult to find because we usually teach children that the primary colors are [fire engine] Red, Yellow, and [ultramarine] Blue. For the purposes of learning how to mix paint colors, those colors do not work together, and they make muddy, unsatisfying hues when mixed. Yellow (100% Yellow), Red (100% Magenta, 100% Yellow) Magenta (100% Magenta), Blue (100% Cyan, 100% Magenta) Green (100% Cyan, 100% Yellow), Cyan (100% Cyan) Brown (20% Magenta, 40% Yellow, 40% Black), Orange (100% Yellow, 60% Magenta) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0
