TracFone Dress for Success April 2015 Training Manual (Internal Use Only) EVENT DATES AND TIMES: Saturday, April 4, :45am 4pm (Note: earlier start time for first week to find and place standees) Saturday, April 11, am 4pm Saturday, April 18, am 4pm Saturday, April 25, am 4pm NOTE: ALL STORES WILL BE AUDITED BY THE CLIENT DURING EXECUTION--IT IS IMPORTANT YOU WORK EACH SHIFT AS SCHEDULED!

2 Congratulations!! You have been chosen to be the face of TracFone at Walmart stores during the Dress for Success Event. TracFone is the do everything for less wireless brand that offers customers great cell phone service at a low cost. Plus, during the entire month of April, TracFone will be donating 20% of handset sales to a not-for-profit organization called Dress for Success! This Training Manual will take you through pre-event and Event instructions, set-up and take-down direction and reporting tips. In addition, we have included a Demo Guide to prepare you to execute the TracFone demonstration and encourage customer interaction. PRE-CALL INSTRUCTIONS Thursday, April 2, 2015 Please pre-call your store on Thursday, April 2nd and be sure to speak to one of the following: Electronics Manager, Zone Merchandising Supervisor (ZMS) over Electronics, Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. This is important so we are sure to be reminding / informing the correct Manager about the upcoming event. BE SURE TO WRITE DOWN THE NAME AND TITLE OF THE PERSON YOU SPEAK TO DURING THIS PRE-CALL SO YOU CAN MENTION IT ON DEMO DAYS IF THE MANAGERS ON DUTY ARE NOT AWARE OF THE EVENT. Once you are on the phone with one of the above Managers: Introduce yourself as the TracFone Wireless Associate (do not mention any other company name) who will be working the upcoming TracFone - Dress for Success demo. The demos are scheduled to begin Saturday, April 4 th with subsequent demo days April 11, 18 and 25. If the Manager mentions that they were not aware of the event, politely inform them that Walmart Corporate recently sent out a communication on the wire (Walmart speak) with all of the details to both Department Managers and Store Managers. Mention that you will have a Letter of Authorization with you when you arrive. Inquire / Inform the Manager of all the important points below do not skip over any as they are all important to a successful demo event: 1. A TracFone display should be set up in the Electronics / Wireless Department. Let the manager know that you will be pulling product from this display to fill a small PDQ tray that will be displayed on the Demo table. Please ENSURE the manager that you will only pull a few items at a time and WILL NOT deplete the inline TracFone display at any time. Mention you will return unsold product after each demo. 2. Also ask the Manager if the store has yet received the large shipment of standee signage that would have been marked TracFone Wireless Dress For Success Demo Display. These would have arrived at the store the week of 3/30/2015, and the store was asked to hold them in a secure area within the electronics or warehouse area. 3. Inform the Manager that the preferred demo location for this event is in the Electronics Department. Let the Manager know that you will need a demo table on each Demo Day. Find out from him/her where you can locate these things in the store. 4. Before hanging up, politely ask the Manager you re speaking with to inform other key managers about the event so you have an easier time on each demo day when different Managers are working. 2

3 3 Demo Kit shipped directly to you will include: 1 -- TracFone Table Cloth 1 -- TracFone Polo Shirt 1 -- Lanyard with Name Tag inserted (print your name) 1 TracFone Placard (select shipments will also receive a Spanish version of the Placard- use both as needed) x 17 TracFone Table Sign (select shipments will also receive a Spanish Version of the table sign display both) 2 Corrugated PDQ Tray (1 to be used to display TracFone product on Demo Table and 1 for back-up) x 11 envelope containing all paperwork AT BOTTOM OF BOX-- contents include: o Training Manual and Demo Guide: This document o Training Instructions o Report Form: Four copies (one for each demo day) o The Letter of Authorization. Two copies one to present each week and one to leave with the store on 4/4/2015. o Return Form (form to be filled out and included with returned materials at the end of project) 1 -- Federal Express Return Label, in envelope taped to box flap to use to return your table cloth and lanyard at end of the demo period NOTE: do not return these until after your shift on 4/25/ TracFone Brochures 6 packs of 50 to be split among all four demo days (75 per day) 200- Piggy Back Phone Stand (give-away item) 4 sleeves of 50 (use 50 per demo day) DEMO DAYS -- Before Leaving Home: DRESS ATTIRE: Please wear black or khaki pants, the TracFone Polo Shirt included in your Demo Kit and closed toed shoes (no sneakers). The provided lanyard with name tag, with your name written on it, is also required. Be sure to iron and/or launder your TracFone Polo Shirt before the first event and each subsequent event. The shirt should never look wrinkled or messy. If your TracFone Polo Shirt is too small, you may wear your own plain solid colored polo or collared shirt. If it is too large, please tie it, belt it or tuck it and make-do it is important to be branded whenever possible! BRING YOUR DEMO KIT! Also, if you have a table, please bring it with you JUST IN CASE there is an issue obtaining one from the store! Even if you are told during your pre-call they will have a table for you, bring yours as back-up. We all know things change! If you don t have one, that is okay. ***CALL YOUR SUPERVISOR TWO HOURS PRIOR TO THE DEMO START TIME TO RECONFIRM THAT YOU WILL BE AT THE STORE FOR THE EVENT THAT DAY!*** DEMO DAYS-- ARRIVAL AT THE STORE: IMPORTANT!!! Upon arrival at the store on each demo day, you must call your Supervisor AGAIN to confirm your arrival. Then, sign IN AND OUT on the Vendor Log located at the Customer Service Counter as the TracFone Wireless Associate. FAILURE TO SIGN IN AND OUT ON VENDOR LOG EACH DEMO DAY MAY RESULT IN NON-PAYMENT AS THIS SERVES TO VALIDATE YOUR ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIME AT THE STORE SHOULD A QUESTION ARISE. 1. POSITION: Locate a table to use to conduct your demos from the Manager. Set up your table in a hightraffic, high visibility area in the Electronics Department. If the Manager will not allow you to set up in the Electronics Department, work with him/her to select another location in the store where traffic is highest.

4 2. SIGNAGE: STANDEES- Before setting up your table, work with the Manager to locate the large shipment of signage (standees) pictured below. They should be clearly marked with a label that says TracFone Wireless Dress For Success Demo Display and should contain (7) Standee signs. 4 TracFone Wireless Dress For Success Demo Display. a. Placement of signs are as followed (also see diagram below): Notes: 1. Next to demo table (2 Standees) during Demo Days only. After you tear down your table at the end of each Demo Day, place these 2 Standees with elsewhere in the store, but spread them out from the other five standees 2. Back Action Alley near General Merchandise 3. Back Action Alley near Grocery 4. Front of the Store near Registers 5. Front of Store past entrance close to where Merchandise begins 6. Front of Store past entrance close to where Grocery begins 1) Please be sure to place standee signage so that it does not create a traffic hazard or obstruct the normal flow of traffic in the store. 2) If you receive resistance from the store on placing the standees, please re-present the Letter of Authorization which speaks to this specifically in an effort to obtain clearance. If certain standees are allowed and others are not, that is fine placement of as many as possible in the above locations is better than none! 3) As mentioned above, please place the standees you used by your demo table during the event in other areas of the store AFTER the event, keeping in mind to spread them out and to avoid obstructing flow of traffic. Each demo day, check for the standees on the sales floor and depending on how many are still in place, bring one or two over to your table once again for the six hour event. Do this step each demo day. After your last shift on Saturday April 25 th leave the standees on the sales floor.

5 3. LOCATE THE TRACFONE DISPLAY IN THE STORE: Before your Demo begins on the first day, find the store s inline display of TracFone product. Knowing exactly where the display is within the store will help you direct customers to it during your demos. WHILE YOU ARE IN THE DEPARTMENT, AND EACH DEMO DAY, BE SURE TO INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO THE ELECTRONICS DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL AND LET THEM KNOW YOU ARE THERE, WHERE YOU LL BE SET UP, AND THAT YOU LL BE PROMOTING TRACFONE AND THE DRESS FOR SUCCESS DONATION (20% OF ALL TRACFONE HANDSET (PHONE) SALES FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL WILL BE DONATED TO DRESS FOR SUCCESS). 4. DEMO TABLE SET UP: Set-up your demo table using the materials in the demo kit sent directly to your home (see page 3 for kit contents). Once you finish setting up, your table should look as close to the photo below as possible. Items must be used as intended. a. Place the TracFone Table Sign, some Brochures, some Piggy Back Phone Stands (give-away item) and one PDQ Tray onto the table. b. You will have to pull product from the TracFone inline display to fill the PDQ tray. See page below for more on this. c. The Table should be flanked by (2) Standee Signs even though only one is pictured below PDQ TRAY INSTRUCTIONS: a. The (2) PDQ Trays sent in your Demo Kit will come to you pre-assembled. b. On each Demo Day you will then have to pull product from the TracFone inline display to fill your PDQ Tray. The phones may be on locking pegs, please see an Electronics Associate to assist you in accessing the phones for your table. c. See the Planogram on page (6). d. You are NEVER to leave Walmart shelves light or empty. If your store runs out or has limited quantity of a specific item, you can use one of the alternate item(s) listed on the Planogram. e. You are to pull product forward on the TracFone inline display pegs/shelves after pulling your items for the PDQ tray. f. If you run out of product in the middle of your Demo, you can retrieve more product during a slow period. g. At the end of your shift, you are to place all items left in the PDQ back on the inline display. h. Be sure to bring the PDQ tray home with you, as well as the rest of your Demo kit items and fill it with product on each demo day. i. Planogram on page (6).

Use the product in the PDQ Tray, brochures, table sign and the placard to start engaging customers in a conversation about the Dress for Success Donation, and the benefits of TracFone products and service. b. Refer to your Demo Guide in this packet on pages 8-15 for more information on the service plans, smart phones, and benefits TracFone offers, as well as scripts for your demos. 7. BREAKS: a. You may take two, 15 minute breaks when there is a slow time during your shift. Please be sure to mention to the Department Personnel that you are breaking. IMPORTANT: YOU MUST SECURE THE PRODUCT IN YOUR PDQ TRAY WHENEVER YOU LEAVE YOUR TABLE!! b. If your store is audited during your break, the auditor will expect you to return to your table in 15 minutes or less, so please be punctual! They WILL wait for you! c. Do NOT combine your two breaks into one under any circumstances we cannot leave the table unmanned that long! 8. END OF SHIFT PROTOCAL: EACH DAY a. Carefully repack all of the demo items and take them home with you. You will need to bring these items back and forth to the store each demo day. b. Break down your table and return it to its proper location. c. The Standees should stay in place throughout the store (per instructions above). d. Your area should be left clean and tidy after EACH Demo Day. e. Fill out a Report Form and ONCE COMPLETED capture the Manager s signature (See further directions below).

7 9. REPORT FORMS: a. Make sure you complete one report form at the end of each demo day. b. After the form is filled out, capture a Manager s signature on your completed report form and have them store stamp it for you. 1. The Managers you should seek out for sign-off at the end of each shift is one of the following: Electronics Manager, Zone Merchandising Supervisor (ZMS), Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. If NO Manager is available, any associate who can confirm your shift times and that you worked the event may sign your form. 2. NOTE: Manager sign-off from anyone in Customer Service is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Report forms with a Customer Service Manager, Customer Service Assistant Manager, or any Customer Service Associate, etc. may result in non-payment for the shift. c. Follow the instructions from your Supervisor as to what to do with your hard copy report forms. 10. CALL THE IVR SYSTEM: Call the IVR Reporting System (instructions on the top of each report form) immediately upon leaving the store to report your demo stats for the day. Failure to report in a timely manner may result in non-payment for the event. AFTER THE FINAL DEMO DAY EVENT ON April 25, 2015: a. You are to leave all remaining Standee displays on the sales floor. b. Complete your Report Form and have it signed and stamped by the appropriate Store Manager c. Locate the Fed Ex pre-paid Return Label (taped to the inside flap of the Demo Kit). d. Remove the perforated tab on top left hand corner of the Fed Ex label stating Shipper Receipt and adhere it to the appropriate place at the bottom of your Report Form (see diagram below). e. Place your Table Cloth, Lanyard and the completed return form* in a box (you can use the box your materials came to you in, just cover up the original label). 1. IMPORTANT: In order to get credit for your return, you must fill out the RETURN form in your demo kit. This form asks you for your name, your Supervisor s name, store number, city and state, and then to check off all of the items you are returning. FAILURE TO INCLUDE THIS FORM IN YOUR RETURN BOX OR FAILURE TO RETURN YOUR ITEMS MAY RESULT IN A DELAY OR REDUCTION IN PAY. f. Return the materials back to our warehouse using the Federal Express prepaid return label as soon as possible following the conclusion of the last demo on April 25, REPORT FORM EXAMPLE 7 Tracking Number from Return Shipment (April 25 th only) - Place sticker from PRP Label here: + NOTE: This top corner is perforated and can be torn and placed instead of writing the number down.

8 DEMO GUIDE OVERVIEW: This Demo Guide includes the key benefits of TracFone s service and data plans so you can approach customers and inform them about the brand s value. The top priority for this demo is to get the customer interested in exploring the money saving opportunities that TracFone has to offer. The TracFone Brochures, Placard, Table Signs and PDQ tray will be your main promotional tools for your demo. Become familiar with them before your first demo day, as they will help you interact with customers, and inform and educate them with confidence. 1. ACTION Promote the TracFone Brand through interaction with Walmart customers! a. Use your promotional tools such as the TracFone Placard, Brochures, table sign and TracFone product displayed in the PDQ tray to build brand awareness! Use the product displayed in the PDQ tray to show customers the phones and airtime cards TracFone offers while you have them in front of you. b. Get customers excited that if they buy an Android Smartphone they can triple their minutes, texts and data. Also, let customers know that they too can play a part in TracFone donating 20% of all handset sales, in the month of April, to the not-for-profit group Dress for Success. Dress for Success is a charitable organization dedicated to empowering woman by giving them the tools they need to succeed in work and in life. c. Reinforce to customers that by switching to TracFone, they will not only save money on cell service, they will also get nationwide coverage on America s largest and most dependable networks. 2. PDQ Tray Make the Demo INTERACTIVE with product from TracFone at the customer s fingertips! a. You received (2) PDQ Trays in your Demo Kit. For set up instructions see page 5 and 6 of this document. b. Use the product in the PDQ tray to help build brand awareness during your Demo. c. The PDQ tray will help you promote TracFone product when you have the customers at your Demo Table. d. During this Demo YOU CAN SELL TRACFONE PRODUCT DIRECTLY FROM THE DEMO TABLE! 8

14 7. INTERNATIONAL AND LONG DISTANCE CALLING a. TracFone is the only prepaid cell phone service that offers international long distance calling to over 100 destinations at no additional cost. 15 15 What will I be charged to use my TracFone? FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS TracFone deducts minutes at a rate of 1 minute per minute of local, long distance or international calls. The only charges for the use of TracFone are the TracFone Prepaid Airtime Minutes you must purchase and add prior to the Service End or Due Date, or before the Service Days left run out. If your service is deactivated, you will need to purchase additional Airtime. There is NO fee for reactivation! How often do I need to purchase and add Airtime Minutes? Airtime Cards provide both Minutes and Service Days. To keep your service active if you have a feature phone (basic, not smartphone), you will need to buy and Add Airtime prior to running out of minutes or running out of service days. The TracFone Airtime Balance Display shows you your balance so it is easy to know where you stand. For our smartphones, you can download our TracFone My Account Ap from Google Play to keep track of your balances. How do I add Airtime directly to my TracFone? After your basic (not smartphone) phone has been activated, select add Airtime from the Prepaid Menu. Enter Airtime Card Pin number found under the silver strip on the back of the Airtime and press the OK key. Airtime Minutes will be sent directly to your TracFone and you will be notified by a free text message when it is added. (Keep your Airtime Card or PIN# until your Minutes have been received). For Smartphones, you can purchase and add airtime service plans either online, via phone or from over 100,000 retail locations. Will my Airtime PIN ever expire? TracFone Prepaid Airtime Cards / PINS expire one year from the date of purchase. Will I lose my remaining minutes if I go past the Service End Date/Days Remaining and my service is deactivated? No, you have 60 days from the day you go past due to add another Airtime Card and keep your Minutes. Unused Minutes will expire if you wait longer than 60 days from deactivation to reactivate. How long does it take to get my service active? In most areas, your service will be active within minutes. In some other areas it will be up to 24 hours. Can I make international long distance calls from my TracFone? Yes, TracFone is the only prepaid cell phone service that offers international long distance calling to over 100 destinations at the same rate as local call. Just dial access number from your TracFone to be connected to the service. More information is available Which carrier do I get? One of the (4) major networks. We will pick the best network for your area. What s the catch? No catch. No credit checks. No activation fees. No surprises. It s that easy!
