2 Why hotels use paper and TV for compendiums The majority of hotels, motels, serviced apartments and resorts (properties) are currently using a paper- or TV-based solution to inform guests with details for their property and the local area. Here at App IT Byte, we believe that the majority of properties have not yet converted to a digital hotel compendium service due to concerns of accessibility across all human demographics. We understand that if anyone is going to develop a digital hotel compendium, it is only worthwhile doing if you can create a solution that works for all demographics. 2

Not just because they serve a purpose, but because they are devices that can do multiple things for us and in some cases, at the same time. So now the question has to be asked: Why can t guests use their own portable devices to view your compendium information? 7
