1 End of Sale Notice Notification Date: October 24, 2011 Effective Date: October 24, 2011 Subject: End of Sale for Extended Peripheral Module (XPM), BladeCenter-T architecture (MAS & BCP), and Media Gateway 9000 Theatre/Region: North America Summary As part of the networks evolution from Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) technologies to Internet Protocol (IP) technologies (i.e. Session Initiation Protocol or SIP) Avaya and its manufacturing partners are seeing a significant drop in need for the older technologies which make up the Avaya Communication Server 2100 and Avaya SL-100. As a result some components that make up the Avaya CS 2100 and Avaya SL-100 are being set to End of Sale for all newly manufactured components. However many of these components will continue to be available from Avaya through certified remanufacturing programs that have been established by Avaya and Avaya s partner, Genband. There are a number of component families impacted by this transition from new manufacturing to remanufactured supply; they are: XPM family: LTC, DTC, LGC, RCC2, LCM Bladecenter-T based applications (Media Application Server and Border Control Point), replaced by the TIGH2U server (NTRY41AA) Media Gateway 9000 The XPM family of components is effective immediately. All new requests for quotes will be quoted using certified remanufactured products. The BladeCenter T platform for the Border Control Point (BCP) and the Media Application Server (MAS) are being discontinued. The replacement platform has been available since the general availability declaration of release SE13 in October 2009, using the TIGH2U (NTRY41AA) based server providing greater capacity in a platform that is more economical and power efficient. Media Gateway 9000 is effective immediately. A replacement solution is being investigated, but no firm plan is in place at this time to deliver through Avaya and its channels. For those customers who have identified their demand for some of the products impacted we have completed a last time purchase of equipment and will be holding this equipment for those customers. If you have interest in purchasing some of these products we will pursue them on the remanufactured product market and supply them as the market can support. CS 2100 Components designed for use in AC power environments are also being discontinued immediately; components for DC power environments will continue to be available.

5 Migration Strategy Avaya now offers the following alternative solution(s). Centrex IP Client Manager and the 1100 and 1200 series IP phones. These clients provide similar capabilities as the business sets provided by the NT6X21xx line card.
