This is a major version upgrade to Control Manager 7.1.X, and provides additional capabilities to the Control Manager product while supporting newer releases of other Avaya products. This version sees the consolidation of multiple parallel editions of Avaya Control Manager. The codebase merge yields several benefits including UI refresh, increased administration capabilities, performance and quality improvements, and a single documentation set. In addition, Avaya Control Manager supports administration for Oceana 3.3 and xcaas 2.0 solutions. For further details on what the Control Manager release provides, contact your account manager. Effective February 28, 2018, Avaya will no longer sell (make commercially available) Control Manager 7.1 (includes 7.1, 7.1.1, 7.1.2, , ). Control Manager is the most current offer. Effective February 28, 2018, customers choosing to stay on Control Manager 7.1, must update to the latest generally available service pack and patch level: Control Manager Discontinued Order Codes and Migration Strategy Control Manager 8.0 order codes are different from Control Manager 7.1 order codes: The new order codes have been simplified by removing quantity based pricing, multi connectors for CM and CMS, as well as reducing the various sub-types of CM connectors to one. Instead, each licensed connector is valid for one to unlimited number of administered elements of that connector type. The changes in the order codes are reflected in the Avaya One Source screens for quoting Control Manager 8. The license file for Control Manager 7.X is no longer applicable for Control Manager 8.0 and will need to be regenerated.
