3 Connection Related 1 Connection Related 1.1 Test Terminal Failed to Connect to ipad 1. Firstly, check if the ipad is connected to the right WLAN (e.g. access point). If the settings on the ipad are correct, check each handset. 2. If the ipad cannot connect to the right WLAN, follow the instructions below: a. Restart the wireless router and ipad. b. Use the handset to connect to the WLAN. If the handset cannot connect to the WLAN, restore the router to the factory settings and reconnect the handset to the WLAN. c. If the handset cannot connect to the WLAN, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Please do not tap other buttons. Note: Check if the ipad can connect to the WLAN after each step. If yes, it is not necessary to proceed with the remaining steps For Android-based Handset 1. Check if the handset screen is on. 2. Check if the handset has been automatically connected to other Wi-Fi hotspot. 3. For Pilot Walktour Pack v3.0 and earlier versions, check if the ipad IP address and MSE number are correct. 4. For Pilot Walktour Pack v3.2 (using Pilot Walktour Pack case v3.0), check if the handset is correctly connected to the handset slot For ios-based Handset 1. Check if the handset screen is on. 2. Check if Wi-Fi is enabled on the handset. 3. Check if the handset has been automatically connected to other WiFi hotspot. 4. For Pilot Walktour Pack v3.0 and earlier versions, check if the ipad IP address and MSE number are correct. 1.2 Device Disconnection 1. Wait for three minutes and check if the device can automatically connect to AP. 2. Check if Wi-Fi is enabled on the ipad, and if ipad is connected to the right access point. 3. During operation, make sure that the phone and ipad screen are always on, as Wi-Fi would be 1

4 Connection Related disabled on the handset when the screen is locked, which leads to device disconnection. 4. Check if the handset or the control center is automatically turned off due to insufficient power supply. 5. Check if Pilot Walktour is running properly on the handset. Reboot Pilot Walktour in case the program has exited. 6. Disconnect the wireless connection on handset, and reconnect the ipad. 1.3 Incorrect Operator Information Displayed on the ipad Check on the handset if supported network technology is selected for Multi-Test. If Wi-Fi is disconnected during tests and cannot be automatically reconnected, users need to reselect network technology on the handset. Otherwise, the handset cannot automatically reconnect to Wi-Fi. 1.4 Supported Terminals Only supported test terminals can be connected to Pilot Walktour Pack for services tests. For detailed information about supported terminals, see A6.Pilot Walktour Pack Datasheet V3.4. 2

5 Device/System Related 2 Device/System Related 2.1 Slow Response/Phone System Crashed 1. Check if the available phone memory is sufficient. It is recommended to delete some unnecessary files or move them to a SD card in order to spare enough memory for the Pilot Walktour program. 2.2 Operation Failure Caused by Other Software During service test, it is not recommended to start other irrelevant software, for example, antivirus software or games related software, as that software may consume system resource and thereby cause operation failure. 2.3 Data Upload Failure 1. Check if Wi-Fi is disconnected. 2. Check if the memory for data storage on the ipad is available. 3. Check if the data file's data format or size is within the supported range. 4. Check if too many data files are selected for upload. For example, problems may occur if users select dozens of data files to upload at a time. 2.4 Failure to Force Shutdown of Pilot Walktour Pack Case During service test, if users cannot shut down the Pilot Walktour Pack Case and router by pressing and holding the power key for more than 10 seconds, users may remotely shutdown and reboot Pilot Walktour Pack Case. For detailed information, see section 10.2 in the User Manual. 2.5 Device Failure and Send Logs back to Dingli If Pilot Walktour Pack device exception occurs, users need to: 1. Tap Settings > Debug Mode to enable the debugging function, restart Pilot Walktour Pack, and the device exception occurs again. The related log file will be automatically recorded. 2. Copy the log file from the var/mobile/document/io_log path and send it to Dingli technical support for analysis and troubleshooting. 3

6 Testing Related 3 Testing Related 3.1 No Track Routes during Drive Test 1. Check if Outdoor is selected as the test mode in the Start Test window. 2. Make sure that the Map window is open, and tap the Open Map button at the bottom. 3. Check the GPS positioning status. After successful positioning, there will be an arrow icon that appears on the upper right corner of the ipad screen. 4. On the ipad, tap Settings > General > Location Services to enable location services. In Pilot Walktour Pack, enable the function ON when a message containing "Would like to use Your Current location" appears. 3.2 No Pinpoints on Map during Indoor Test 1. Check if Indoor is selected as the test mode in the Start Test window. 2. Before pinpointing, users need to tap Mark. Pinpoints are shown in blue. 3. Do not change the measuring scale of the map while pinpointing. 3.3 Data Test Working Improperly 1. Make sure that the phone SIM card is not out of credit, and has subscribed to data services. 2. For an android-based handset, make sure that the access point to data service is enabled. 3. If FTP tests continuously fail, check the following items: a. Check if all the FTP settings on the handset are consistent with those on the ipad. b. Check if the message containing "Superuser Request" appears when the test phone is connecting to the FTP. If yes, tap Allow. c. Use another FTP server for the FTP data test. 4. If all the above measures do not take effect, please restart the test handset. 3.4 Time Changed Randomly During Testing 1. On the ipad, tap Settings > General > Date & Time. Disable Set Automatically. 4

Check if the parameter settings on the ipad are correct. For example, for FTP server settings, check if any special characters that are not allowed, exist? or if parameter value is within allowed range? 2. Check the Pilot Walktour version on the handset is compatible with that of Pilot Walktour Pack. 3.6 No Carrier Aggregation (CA) Parameter Information Presented If there is no CA parameter information on the Parameter window, users need to check if the CA test permission is granted. 5

8 File Storage Related 4 File Storage Related 4.1 Failure to Visit ios System Path For the ios7 operating system, make sure that afc2add is installed on the ios-based terminal if the system path cannot be accessed. 4.2 Failure to Find Data Files on PC For Android-based terminals, users cannot find data files in the relevant path after connecting the handset to a PC but the data files are available on the handsets. This usually occurs when users connect the handset to a PC soon after the test ends. In this case, users may use handset management tool to connect the handset to a PC, and then search the data files through the data management function. 4.3 File Storage Path on ipad 1.
