5 Overview 1 Overview 1.1 About the Product Pilot Walktour Pack is an integrated and portable benchmarking solution for measuring wireless network and services quality. The unique design incorporates the capability of a drive test product, with the flexibility of a handheld test tool. Data interaction is achieved by connecting the ipad and smart phones via Wi-Fi/USB Cable. The ipad acts as the control device, and manages one or more handsets during a test. The terminals perform data or voice tests according to the test plan delivered from the ipad, and uploads test data back to the ipad for further data management. Supported test terminals: 1. ios-based: iphone 6s iphone 6 2. 7 Install Walktour Pack on ipad 2 Install Walktour Pack on ipad 2.1 Before Installation 1. Make sure that the ipad is connected to a wireless network during the entire installation process. After installation, the ipad will automatically download the license file from DingLi s license server. 2. Users may skip Section 2.2 and perform operations based on the description in Section 2.3 if a license file has been obtained. 3. If the license file cannot be obtained from the server (due to a server error, or other causes), users may obtain the license file from DingLi. Connect the ipad with PC through the synchronization tool, and copy the license file from the PC to var/mobile/documents/walktour in the ipad. 2.2 Apply for a License 1. On the ipad screen, tap the icon to enter the settings page. 2. Tap General > About, find Wi-Fi Address, copy and send the address to Dingli for Pilot Walktour Pack license application. See the figure below: Figure 2-1 Copy Wi-Fi address 2.3 Install Pilot Walktour Pack on ipad 1. Please contact Dingli technical support for jailbreak and plugins installation, and other necessary configurations, to ensure Pilot Walktour Pack can be operated accordingly. 2. Tap the Cydia icon " " to enter the Cydia main interface, and tap the icon to enter the Source window. 3. Tap Edit on the upper right corner to add a source. See the figure below: 3

Tap the Pilot Walktour Pack icon on the ipad desktop to start its program. 2.4 Reinstall Appsync for the ios7/ios8 Operating System For the ios7/ios8 Operating System, users need to reinstall Appsync after installing Walktour Pack. Follow the instructions below: 1. Tap Management > Sources. 2. Tap the Edit button on the Sources page, tap Add, and enter source address " Tap Add Sources and then return to the Sources page. Figure 2-9 Add sources 3. Enter AppSync for ios 7/8 on the search box and install it. Figure 2-10 Search for plugin 4. Tap Changes > Upgrade, and update all system files that can be updated. 7

12 Install Walktour Pack on ipad Figure 2-11 Update system files Note: If AppSync for ios 7/8 has been installed on the ipad, users may search this software and reinstall it. 2.5 Upgrade Pilot Walktour Pack 1. To upgrade Pilot Walktour Pack, users need to uninstall the current version and then install a new version based on the instructions above. 2. Tap Sources on the Cydia main interface, and then tap the " source, or tap Installed on the Cydia main interface to find the current version of Pilot Walktour Pack to uninstall. 3. Tap Modify, and select Remove to uninstall Pilot Walktour Pack. 8

Use the synchronization tool (e.g. itools) to connect to ipad controller unit on PC, select Pilot Walktour Pack setup package in *.ipa format to install the software. 2. After installing the software in *. ipa format, tap the Setting icon on the ipad screen. 3. Tap General>Device Management>DingLi Communications Corp., Ltd. 9

15 3 3.1 Connect ipad with Test Phones Pilot Walktour Pack Case Start the Pilot Walktour pack case before connecting devices to it. Users may search the Wi-Fi hotspot of the Pilot Walktour Pack case on the ipad, and connect the ipad to it by using the password. 1. Wi-Fi hotspot of Pilot Walktour Pack: PhoneBox_XXX (where XXX indicates a string, the last three numbers of the case ID, such as "181") 2. Password: wifi@phonebox Connect ipad to Pilot Walktour Pack System Note that all devices (ipad and test phones) shall be connected to the same Wi-Fi hotspot. 1. Tap the Settings icon ( ) on the ipad desktop. Figure 3-1 Settings 2. Tap Wi-Fi, and select the correct access point. 11

16 Figure 3-2 Select correct WLAN network Connect Phones to Pilot Walktour Pack System The processes of connecting phones with different operating systems to the ipad are different. This section describes the process of setting up a WLAN on an Android phone and iphone Android For Android phones, users need to use USB cables to connect the phones to the backpack. To ensure correct connection, uses need to tap Settings > Developer, and select USB debugging to enable the USB debugging mode. Figure 3-3 Enable USB debugging mode on Android phones After successful USB connection, do as follows: 1. Start Pilot Walktour and tap Multi-Test on the main interface. The message displayed on the phone indicates that the device is not connected. See the figure below: 12

17 Figure 3-4 Device not detected 2. Configure access point, alarm, and network lock. 3. Connect the device to the backpack with a USB cable. The message displayed on the phone indicates that the device is waiting for connecting to ipad. Users may tap Detect on the ipad to display the connected device. See the figure below: Figure 3-5 Wait for connecting to ipad 4. Drag the detected device to a customized test group, and tap Save. For more information 13

Figure 3-6 Device connected iphone Connect the iphone to the correct access point, and then tap the settings icon on the main interface to enter the settings window. Tap Wi-Fi, and select the same access point as that of the ipad. Figure 3-7 Set WLAN on ios phones After connection, do as follows: 14

19 1. Start Pilot Walktour and tap Multi-Test on the main interface. The information displayed on the phone indicates that the device is not connected. Tap Auto detect on the ipad, and then tap Detect to display the connected device. See Figure 15

21 3.2 System Settings Tap to enter the Pilot Walktour Pack home page, and then tap to enter Settings. Figure 3-12 Home page Setting Server Information Users may select FTP Server List to set FTP server information, or select Remote Server Ding Li, and then select a remote server type (Fleet or FTP) to conduct required settings. For detailed information, see

22 Figure 3-13 Setting FTP server information and remote server information Data Storage Settings Users may tap Storage Settings on the software interface, and enable a format to save the data. After setting the data storage format here, users need not set the storage format on the terminal again, as the ipad controller unit may distribute the data storage format command to the terminal. Figure 3-14 Data storage settings Setting Data Partitioning Under DATA PARTITION, choose a data-partitioning mode: By Size or By Time, and then set the size or time for data partition. 18

23 Figure 3-15 Set Data Partitioning 3.3 Project Settings New Project After connecting ipad and mobile phones to the system, users may tap the Pilot Walktour Pack icon to enter the home page, and then tap New Project. Figure 3-16 Walktour Pack Home Page 19

24 1. The devices that have been connected and group boxes without specified devices are displayed on the Device Configuration window. 25 Figure 3-19 Complete test groups Note: The letter (A, B, C ) displayed on the device is based on the order that the device is connected Configure Test Tasks This section uses Call test service as an example to show how to configure a test task. Other test services follow similar operations. Users may refer to A1.Pilot Walktour Pack User Manual V3.6 for more information. Please be noted that for ios and Android based phones that support network lock functions, users need to conduct the operations on the phone. 1. On the My Device window, tap Edit Task as shown in the figure below. 21

For detailed option description, see A1.Pilot Walktour Pack User Manual V3.6. Users may tap the "+" icon at the bottom left corner to add other test tasks. 22

29 Figure 3-25 Starting test 2. On the Test Start dialog box, select a test mode (Outdoor or Indoor) Outdoor Test Map Management 1. Before the drive test, tap My Device > Settings (the last icon on left bar) >General Settings> MAP, and select Apple Online Map or Offline Map as required. 25

On the ipad, choose Settings > Privacy, and enable Location Services. 4. Select Outdoor for Test Mode, and tap OK to start testing. 5. On the Map window, click Open Map to show map information and GPS measurement routes. 26

31 Figure 3-27 GPS Track Cell Site Management In the Online and Offline map mode, users may import one or multiple cell site databases (*.txt). For the same network technology, users can import only one cell site database. Follow the instructions below to import a cell site database: 1. Import the cell site database to the /var/mobile/documents/projectroot/map/station path on the ipad in advance. 2. Tap Cell Site at the bottom, and select Load Cell Sites. 27

33 clear the imported cell sites. Figure 3-30 Clear cell sites Cell line linking can be displayed on the ipad in real time. The cells linked by thick line represents the cells in Active Set, and the cells linked by thin line represents the cells in Monitor Set. Tap a cell icon, and information related to the cell is displayed, including the base station name, longitude and latitude, cell ID, scrambling code, frequency, and tilt. 29

34 Figure 3-31 Cell site display Indoor Test Add Building, Floor, and Maps Users need to add building, floors, and maps to conduct indoor tests. Follow the instructions below: 1. Tap a group, tap Map Manage, tap on the right, tap Map Manage at the bottom, and then tap Add on the window that appears to add buildings, floors, and maps. See the figure below: 30

36 Figure 3-34 Apply a map The added indoor map is saved in the following path on the ipad: /var/mobile/documents/projectroot/map/indoor/building/floor In the path, Building and Floor indicate the building and floor specified before Pinpoint on Map After the building, floor, and map are added, users can start to pinpoint on the map. Tap Mark and then move your finger onto the map. Points are shown in blue. 32

37 Figure 3-35 Pin points on Map Import a Map In order to import an indoor map into the ipad album, users need to connect the ipad to a PC via a USB cable and open itunes on the PC. 1. On the left pane of itunes, select the ipad. 2. In itunes, tap Photos. 3. Select Sync Photos. 4. Select the folder where maps are located. 5. Tap Apply in the right bottom corner. 33

After freezing, there is no real time update on the event and message information (but the information is still collected in the background), thereby allowing users to check the current event and message history. The real-time event and message information can be updated again after unfreezing. 37

43 File Management 4 File Management Users may tap to enter the File Management window, where users may filter, and upload data files. 4.1 View Data Files From the left bar, select Outdoor or Indoor to view corresponding data files. Users may tap Refresh to update the data list after each test. Figure 4-1 File Management 4.2 Filter Data Files Users may tap Filter and filter log files By Status or By Time. Users need to tap Confirm after selecting a filtering condition. 39

44 File Management Figure 4-2 Filter data files 4.3 Delete Data Files Users may tap Delete on the right pane, select the terminal (handset or ipad) where the data files to be deleted are placed. Select data files to be deleted and then tap the Delete button in red at the upper right corner to delete them. 40

46 File Management 4.5 Upload Data Files Server Configuration Users may tap Settings > Remote Server Ding Li to select a server type, e.g. Fleet, FTP. 47 File Management After adding the server information, tap Remote Server Ding Li > FTP, and select the added FTP server. 49 File Management 4.6 View Storage State Users may tap State on the right pane to view the storage state and upload state of data files. Figure 4-11 View storage state 4.7 Export Data Files Export Data Files in Jailbreak Version Users may use the synchronization tool to connect the ipad to a local computer, and export data files from the ipad to the local computer. The data files storage path on the ipad is: Outdoor data files: /var/mobile/documents/rcudata/dt Indoor data files: /var/mobile/documents/rcudata/cqt If users conduct indoor test with the method of adding building structure, the map selected for indoor pinpointing will be saved in the same path with the test data Export Data Files in Non-Jailbreak Version Users may use the synchronization tool to connect the ipad to a PC to export the data files. Open synchronization tool (e.g. itools), and tap Applications>Walktour Pack file to find the exported data files. The data files storage path on the PC is: Outdoor data files: /Documents/rcudata/DT Indoor data files: /Documents/rcudata/CQT 45

50 Data Statistics 5 Data Statistics 5.1 Real-time Statistics Users may tap the icon on the left navigation pane to enter the Real-time Statistics window, and view real-time test information, which includes: Voice test: attempt count, connection count, call dropped count, connection rate, call dropped rate, average call duration, etc. Data test: attempt count, success count, success rate, average Ping duration, FTP Throughput (avg.), etc. Figure 5-1 Real-time statistics information 5.2 Statistics Reports 1. Tap the icon on the left navigation pane to enter the Real-time Statistics interface, and tap More on the top right corner. 2. Select Reports to enter the statistics report interface, and select a report template and data files to generate the corresponding statistics report. 3.
