Device Management 1 Device Management 1.1 How can users refuse a specified device to connect to the server? Users may click the corresponding lock icon on the right side of the device. Pilot Fleet Unify will refuse locked devices to connect to the server. Figure 1-1 Lock device 1.2 How can users enable the system to automatically input the MTC number in the call test template? To enable the system to automatically input the MTC number in the call test template, users must firstly enter the Device Detail page, click the Add SIM Information icon corresponding to each port, and set Phone Number on the displayed SIM Card Information page. Secondly, select MOC_SameRCU for Call Type on the Dial Test Configuration page. The system will thereby automatically input the MTC number. 1.3 How can users send the test plan update command to non-real-time connection devices such as Pilot Walktour? Users may click Update IP Settings on the Device List page to send a command to Pilot Walktour for connecting to the current server and obtain the test plan. See Figure 1-2. This function requires SMS modem on the server. 1
Device Management Figure 1-2 Update IP Settings 1.4 How can users send test plan update command to real-time connection device such as Pilot RCU and Pilot Scout 2.0? 10 Interaction between Device and Pilot Fleet Unify 3 Interaction between Device and Pilot Fleet Unify 3.1 Why can't a device connect to Pilot Fleet Unify? The possible reasons and corresponding solutions are as follows: The RCUID of the device cannot match the Device ID in Pilot Fleet Unify. Please check the Device ID in Pilot Fleet Unify. The SIM card credit (used by the Modem) has finished; the Modem is not connected to an antenna or the antenna is loose; the Modem dial configuration is incorrect; a Modem hardware error has occurred. Check the Modem based on the possible reasons mentioned above. Please seek assistance from Dingli's technical support in case of a hardware error. The Fleet Unify Platform Data Service has stopped or is running abnormally. Please restart the Fleet Unify Platform Data Service or check if the license has expired or is incorrect. 3.2 Which operation requires users to restart the service? Once a new device is added, users need to restart the Fleet Unify Platform Web Invoke Service. Once the information of an existing device in Pilot Fleet Unify is modified, users need to restart the Fleet Unify Platform Data Service. 3.3 Why can't Pilot Fleet Unify match the device name when a registered Pilot Walktour is used to upload data? One possible reason is that the device was deleted, and the Fleet Unify Platform Data Service has not restarted after the device was recreated. Users may restart the Fleet Unify Platform Data 7
Interaction between Device and Pilot Fleet Unify Service. 3.4 What is the difference between MOC and MOC_SameRCU? MOC indicates the normal call type while MOC_SameRCU indicates the MOC and MTC joint call type. In MOC_SameRCU mode, only when both the MOC and MTC modules are enabled can the test service be executed. In addition, when the call ends, both parties hang up. This avoids failure to perform future call tests because the recipient of the call did not hang up and the caller hung up. 3.5 How can users configure offline test for test devices? In Advanced Settings, if Test while connected to the central server is selected, the test plan will work after the device is connected to the central server. If it is not selected, the test plan will work after the device is started. 3.6 Why did the FTP Service Test fail? If the FTP service test failed, users may: Check whether the FTP server configuration is correct. Check whether Passive Mode is selected. If it is selected, users may deselect and restart the test. Check whether the dial connection setting is correct. Check whether the SIM card credit is finished, whether the antenna is loose, whether Network Mode setting is correct, and whether a hardware error has occurred. 3.7 Why can't Pilot RCU reconnect to the server after the modem dial configuration was modified? Check the settings under Dial Connection Settings. Every time the device connects to the server, the server will obtain the configuration. 8
Data Management 4 Data Management 4.1 Why is the RCU data file naming time different from the test time? The *.rcu file is named based on UTC time. If time zone information must be contained in the RCU data file name, users need to specify the time zone in test plan configuration. In this way, the decoding information will contain the current server time zone after the test data is uploaded to the server. 4.2 Why is the data uploading time or test plan time different from the actual test time? A possible reason is that the current system time zone setting is different from the time zone in which the test is conducted. Users may choose System Preferences > My Settings, and check the Timezone settings on the Personal Settings page. See Figure 4-1. Figure 4-1 Personal Settings 9
Data Management 4.3 Why can't an uploading data file be displayed in Pilot Fleet Unify? A possible reason is that the data file is not fully uploaded. Only fully uploaded data file can be displayed in Pilot Fleet Unify. 4.4 Why is the message "No files" displayed after data decoding? A possible reason is that the device type configuration is incorrect. If the device type configuration is incorrect, an incorrect decoding library will be invoked, and thus the data cannot be decoded. If the device type configuration is correct and the error still occurs, the possible reason is that the decoding library on the server cannot match the encoding library in the device. In this case, please contact Dingli's technical personnel for assistance. 10
Data Analysis 5 Data Analysis 5.1 Why no statistics results are generated? The reasons may be: 1. No data meets the configured analysis conditions. 2. Related data have not been pre-processed or imported to the database. 3. The configuration of MNC and MCC of the selected operator is incorrect. 11
Statistics Report 6 Statistics Report 6.1 Why can't uploaded data be queried in Statistics Reports? If it is confirmed that the query condition settings in Statistics Reports is correct, check the decoding status of the required data. If the data is not fully decoded, users cannot query the data. 6.2 How can users define parameters and KPIs for Custom Report? On the Custom Report settings page, users may click KPI&Parameter Settings, and click Settings to select KPIs and parameters for the statistics as required. The selected KPIs and parameters will be displayed on the Selected Items tab page. Users may deselect the parameters or KPIs on the Settings tab page, or select the parameters or KPIs on the Selected Items and click the Delete icon to delete them as required. Figure 6-1 KPI & Parameter settings 12
Statistics Report 6.3 Why is there no Coverage Report in Pilot Fleet Unify v2.3? The coverage report is integrated in the Custom Report in Pilot Fleet Unify version 2.3. Users may select Export Coverage on the Custom Report settings page, and then Pilot Fleet Unify will display parameter coverage map on the custom report. Figure 6-2 Custom Report 6.4 Why is there no Quick Report in in Pilot Fleet Unify v2.3? Quick Report is used for voice and data test services, which can be quickly generated based on data preprocessing. This function is integrated with Traditional Report for voice and data service statistics reports in Pilot Fleet Unify version 2.3, as the data preprocessing function is added to all Traditional Reports. 13
System Management 7 System Management 7.1 What is the usage of MOC-MTC paring rules? Users may configure MOC and MTC paring rules for data ports. This way, Pilot Fleet Unify may automatically pair the MOC and MTC data files after they are uploaded, which may facilitate accurate MOC-MTC statistics results for Quick Reports. 7.2 What is abnormal server or service? Abnormal service indicates the service s critical, major, or minor alarms. Abnormal server indicates the server with abnormal services. 14
Pilot Unify Lite 8 Pilot Unify Lite 8.1 Why can't users install the Pilot Unify Lite application on the phone? The reason may be that the phone does not allow installing any unknown applications. Users may tap Settings > Security & privacy, and then enable Unknown sources on the phone. Figure 8-1 Enable Unknown sources 8.2 Why can't users log in to Pilot Unify Lite? Users need to ask the administrator to grant the login permission for the Pilot Unify Lite. 15
Others 9 Others 9.1 Why aren't some buttons responding to the user s mouse click action? After Pilot Fleet Unify is updated, please clear the browser cache. Otherwise, some buttons may not respond to the user s mouse click action. 9.2 Why is the error message containing "Server Error in '/' Application" displayed? If the error message as shown in Figure 9-1 is displayed, a possible reason is that the IIS stops working or an IIS error occurs. Users may restart the IIS. If the problem cannot be solved after restarting the IIS, contact Dingli's technical personnel for assistance. Figure 9-1 Error message 16
