3 IA100TQ-FIXED The IA100TQ-FIXED represents fixed inflexible connection between the POD and the target. IA100TQ-CPU The IA100TQ-CPU is used to connect the CPU directly to the target. Above picture does not show exactly the IA100TQ-CPU but IA144TQ-CPU which looks exactly the same considering that it has different pin count. IA100TQEXT-CAB The IA100TQEXT-CAB is a 30 mm extension and can be used to extend the adapter. When used, it is connected on top of the IA100TQ-SOLDER. isystem, August /8

4 Flexible Adapter IA100TQ-WIRE and IA100TQ-SOLDER are essential parts required to adapt the POD to the target QFP100 package. First, IA100TQ-SOLDER is soldered to the target and then the POD is connected via IA100TQ-WIRE. Assembly Pay attention to pin 1 while assembling the adapter and connecting the POD to the target. Improper use of the adapter or even incorrect adapter used with your particular POD can damage the emulation system and the target. 1. First, solder IA100TQ-SOLDER to the target PCB. 2. Next, connect the IA100TQ-WIRE to the POD. 3. Finally, connect the POD via IA100TQ-WIRE to the target. Precaution must be taken after the POD is connected to the target. 5 Fixed Adapter IA100TQ-FIXED and IA100TQ-SOLDER are essential parts required to adapt the POD to the target QFP100 package. First, IA100TQ-SOLDER is soldered to the target and then the POD is connected via IA100TQ-FIXED. A flexible adapter is recommended to be used with Active or ActivePRO POD since the parts of fixed adapter solution can easily break due to the Active and ActivePRO POD size and weight. Assembly Pay attention to pin 1 while assembling the adapter and connecting the POD to the target. Improper use of the adapter or even incorrect adapter used with your particular POD can damage the emulation system and the target. Phase 1: Solder IA100TQ-SOLDER to the target PCB. Phase 2: Connect IA100TQ-FIXED to the POD. If optionally IA100TQEXT-CAB is used, it must be connected to IA100TQ-FIXED now. isystem, August /8

8 Connecting the CPU directly to the target The CPU can be connected directly to the target using the IA100TQ-SOLDER in combination with the IA100TQ-CPU. This solution is very suitable for an ultimate test. Step 1: Solder the IA100TQ-SOLDER to the target PCB. Step 2: Insert the CPU into the IA100TQ-CPU, which then connects to the IA100TQ-SOLDER.
