1 PurClean/PurWater (RO/Reclaim) Water Analytics As of November 2017, we have added a new water monitoring element to our Assure Analytics program. We now have the ability to track whether PurClean RO and PurWater Reclaim systems are currently powered on and whether they are operational or in bypass mode. When a machine is in bypass mode, it means the car wash is currently using city water as opposed to RO or Reclaim water. Our water monitoring programming alerts the customer whether their equipment is currently on and also when their machine is in bypass mode, which will allow them to address the situation more quickly to help keep their water costs down. There are a few highlights to note about our monitoring option: Our water monitoring option is only available for PurClean and PurWater equipment. Equipment from other manufacturers are not eligible for water monitoring. If a car wash only has one of the two eligible pieces of equipment mentioned, we can provide water monitoring for that one specific piece of equipment. For example, if the car wash has a PurClean system but does not have a PurWater system, we can provide water monitoring for the PurClean system only. You will need to make sure you have the model and the serial numbers of the PurClean and PurWater system to make sure you are using the correct wiring diagram. There is nothing that you will have to manually program into Assure Analytics software to monitor these items. Everything will be integrated in the app/website for that car wash location when you have placed an order for the water monitoring kit. The customer must provide a qualified electrician for the installation and the electrician is responsible for the wiring into the PurClean/PurWater equipment.

2 P a g e 16 Water Analytics Equipment You will need to place an order for the water equipment kit. The part numbers for these items are on the Assure Analytics Order Form in the parts section. The type of kit you order will depend on the electrical requirements of the car wash controller. The three water kit options are: Assure Analytics Water Kit: 1x120VAC Relay, 1x24AC Relay Assure Analytics Water Kit: 1x120VAC Relay, 1x24DC Relay Assure Analytics Water Kit: 2x120VAC Relays There will always be a 120VAC relay that connects to the PurClean/PurWater on/off. The voltage type of the second relay that goes on the circuit board in the analytics box will depend on what the voltage is for the car wash controller. You would order a water kit for each machine you are monitoring. In other words, you would need to order one water kit for both the PurClean machine and the PurWater machine. NOTE: In addition to the above, the PurWater Water Kit requires an add-on kit that needs to be ordered. It contains: 1X24V Relay (for the inside of the PurWater machine), three ½ cord grips, and some black and brown wire. *** If you are unsure what water kit to order, please contact Assure Analytics support ( ) and they will help you identify what you need.

3 P a g e 17 The water analytics kit contains the following items: - 75 of wire terminated with two phoenix plugs - 2 solid state relays (voltage will vary based on which kit was ordered). *** The add-on kit for the PurWater will contain the items below:

4 P a g e 18 *** If your Assure Analytics equipment was ordered before 8/1/2017, you will need to exchange the chemical boards in the analytics box for chemical boards capable of doing water analytics. Please contact analytics support ( ) for details on what to do if this situation pertains to your circumstances. Installing the connections into the Assure Analytics box If you ordered the water kit as a part of a brand new Assure Analytics equipment order, the white relays will already be installed on the circuit boards for you. However, if you are retrofitting an existing analytics installation to have water analytics, you will need to press the white relays into the correct position on each circuit board. The machine relay will always be a 120VAC relay. The bypass relay voltage will always correspond to the voltage of the car wash controller. The next step is to thread each 75 wire through one of the strain reliefs at the bottom of the analytics box. These wires will eventually be wired into the PurClean/PurWater equipment.

5 P a g e 19 The last step for the analytics box is to plug the connectors into the respective analytics cards as shown below. A reminder that the bypass plug for a machine is on top and the machine on/off plug is on the bottom. *** The circuit board for sensors 1 to 10 should have the PurClean (RO) connections (first card on the left in the picture below) *** The circuit board to sensors 11 to 20 should have the PurWater (Reclaim) connections. *** The bypass plug for both machines will always have a brown and black wire. *** The machine on/off plug will always have a blue and white wire.

6 P a g e 20 *** The following pages will instruct the electrician on how to wire into the PurClean and PurWater equipment from the Assure Analytics box. If there are any questions on how to wire into the PurClean or PurWater equipment, please contact their tech support at PurWater (Reclaim) Wiring For the wiring into the PurWater equipment, the electrician should follow these steps. Reclaim ON/Off Signal: 1. A 24VDC relay (included in the PurWater water kit) will need to be installed. 2. Install a wire from the VFD terminal 2 will terminate to the new relay on A1 3. Install a wire from the VFD terminal 4 will terminate to the new relay on A2 4. Install a wire from the relay terminal 11 to the black terminal strips. 5. Terminate the hot wire (Blue) from the analytics cable to the relay on terminal Terminate the common wire (White) from the analytics cable to the grey terminal strips. Reclaim Bypass Signal: 1. Locate the bypass relay (typically the 3rd from the left) 2. The hot wire (brown) from the analytics cable will terminate to terminal 14 of the relay. 3. The common wire (black) from the analytics cable will terminate to the grey terminal strips. See the next page for the PurWater (reclaim) wiring diagram.
