1 Pegasus Software Quick Start Instructions Purpose The purpose of the Quick Start Instructions is to provide basic instructions on the operation of the PC5000,. 5 Step 6 Wireless Controller Option Connect the wireless Xbox receiver to the computer (Figure 8) Press the sync button on the Xbox receiver Press the sync button on the Xbox controller Note: If the Xbox controller times out, refer to Step 8, Figure 11 to resync the controller Figure 8. 6 Step 7 Turn on the Power Switch (Figure 9) Wait 30 to 45 seconds for the to initialize with the Computer If the computer volume is on, 4 dings will be heard from the computer Figure 9. Power Button _A Page 6

7 Step 8 Double click the PSC (Pegasus) icon located on the desktop (Figure 10) The Pegasus Interface will appear (Figure 11) The search for controller button will appear if the Xbox Controller is not attached If the Xbox Controller is not connected at this time, refer to Step 5 or Step 6 by connecting the Xbox controller to the computer s USB port and click the search for controller button Figure 10. 8 Step 9 Under the Reel drop down menu select Primary or LETS Reel (Figure 12) Under the Camera drop down menu select the proper camera (Figure 12) Under the Transporter drop down menu select the proper tractor (Figure 12) Transporter Camera Reel Figure 12. Pegasus Interface _A Page 8

10 Step 11 Press F1 on the computer keyboard for the Xbox Controller button functions (Figure 14) o F1 is context sensitive and is dependent on which system is selected in step 9 o The button assignment may change depending on the system selected in step 9 Moving the Tractor Diag joystick forward or backwards sets the direction of the tractor (Figure 14) Moving the Tractor Diag joystick left or right is used to turn steerable tractors (Figure 14) Holding the Tractor Diag joystick in the desired direction while pressing the upper Tractor Speed button increases the tractor speed (Figure 14) Holding the Tractor Diag joystick in the desired direction while pressing the lower Tractor Speed button decreases the tractor speed (Figure 14) Figure 14. 13 Step 14 Cruise Control Option 1 Set the tractor speed and direction per Step 11 Once the tractor is moving at the desired speed, press down on the Tractor Diag joystick (Figure 17) to set the cruise control To turn off the cruise control, press down on the Tractor Diag joystick (Figure 17) Cruise Control Option 2 Set the tractor speed and direction per Step 11 Once the tractor is moving at the desired speed, select the Cruise On button (Figure 18) to set the cruise control To turn off the cruise control, select the Cruise On button (Figure 18) Cruise Control Figure 17. 14 Step 15 When inspection is completed, click the power button to power down on the Pegasus Interface shown in Step 10 Exit out of the Pegasus software Power down the PC5000, _A Page 14
