Talk to police about their plans for emergencies at your schools. Don t be afraid to have the police in your building for training or exercises. Try not to over plan.

51 Partner with Your Police HARD REALITY If someone is determined to get into your building and do serious harm, they will. You won t be able to save everyone. There WILL be casualties. Unless the SRO is in the building, the police will probably not be able to get there fast enough to stop him. Which means the first response and the safety of the kids is in your hands.
