3 2 MANAGEMENT 2.1 Director Mr. van der Merwe achieved his B Eng (Elec) degree in 1996 and has been active in the consulting industry ever since. He started his engineering career in East London with Netplan Consulting Engineers (later part of the Aurecon) and joined Ballenden and Robb Consulting Engineers in He was promoted to Office Manager and transferred to their Queenstown branch in 2006 and then to their Port Elizabeth office in 2011 as the Office Manager and later a Director. Mr van der Merwe is a registered Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as well as a Senior member of the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE). He is also registered as a Professional Construction Project Manager (Pr CPM) with the South African Council for Project and Construction Management Professions. He has gained experience on a wide spectrum of electrical engineering and project management projects over the last 21 years ranging from low cost housing electrification, network master planning, reticulation, distribution and building services. Mr van der Merwe is currently the owner of Inovit Consulting Engineers after starting the venture in Some notable historic projects were as follows: 1.
