Beacons are small transceivers sending a bluetooth signal to a smartphone acting as receiver and pushing information via a specific application.

15 Anelita Cassan, Designer There is no limit to the use of beacons, only imagination is the limit! They can be used in very different fields. We will demonstrate two different usages of beacons after the presentation.

16 Christophe Malfroid, Project Manager A year ago, during one week in July, we made the buzz around ibeacons by developing a game based on a treasure hunt for the Esplanade shopping mall in Louvain-la-Neuve. It was a very interesting real life test case around this technology.
