Jan 06 to date Chairman of Orient House for Development & Construction CEO of Future Investments & Blue Lake Properties Audit Committee Board Member & Chairman for Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) I am the Founder and Chairman of Orient House for Development & Construction, a major commercial, office, industrial, and residential building general & MEP contractor headquartered in Abu Dhabi with branches and operations in Al Ain, Western Region, Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah. Orient House is currently classified as special grade contractor and certified IS09001, ISO140001, & ISO Orient House was founded in late 2006 and steadily grew to more than 1000 staff and Dh250 million turnover today and should grow faster in the next few years with contracts backlog of Dh1060 million. Orient House has built more than 70 projects totaling in excess of 3.5 million square feet costing over Dh800 million and has a backlog of contracts worth Dh1060 million. In addition, I also manage and co-own Future Investments which invests in global financial markets and develops and manages properties in the region. I hold responsibility for starting new lines of businesses that assist in minimizing the risk and maximizing returns on our investments. My association with Orient House & Future Investments combines an extensive background in finance, investment, and property management and the development of apartments, industrial and commercial projects. Aug 05 to Dec 05 Head of Internal Audit (Chairman s Office Department of Municipalities & Agriculture) Head of Contracts & Tenders Section (Undersecretary Office Abu Dhabi Municipality) I held two senior positions in the establishment and was accountable for the management of two teams comprising each of approximately 45 employees and a number of reputable consultants and to ensure that the roles and responsibilities of my Sections were delivered effectively in an efficient manner. As Head of the Internal Audit Unit, I assisted the Chairman in ensuring that proper accountability was maintained over public funds and to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of procedures, services, operations and projects. The duties associated with the post were essentially identifying: Potential areas for cost savings through more efficient, effective management Potential areas for increasing revenues Areas with a high risk of loss or misappropriation Suspected fraud or error

5 Areas identified with weak internal controls or known problems Safeguarding and management of Municipal assets In my role as Head of Tenders & Contracts, our primary role was to prepare, maintain, evaluate, administer and review tenders and contracts. In addition, we assisted and advised throughout the Project Delivery Group in relation to tender and contractual issues in addition to providing support on contract administration matters. To succeed in these roles I demonstrated experience in tendering and contracting processes with a good understanding of contemporary procurement principles and contract administration processes to provide advice when required. In addition I demonstrated highly developed organisational, time management and prioritisation skills with an ability to successfully deliver multiple projects simultaneously in a challenging work environment, to ensure processes, deadlines and relevant statute legislation requirements were met. Oct 03 to Jul 05 Head of Sewerage Projects Section Head of Technical Services Section I was part of a Senior Management Team of seven managers responsible for delivering a wastewater collection, treatment and disposal service to the community of Abu Dhabi. The Department was also responsible for the recycle of treated sewage effluent for the irrigation of the city landscape and surrounding areas. I held two senior positions in the establishment and was accountable for the management of a team of over 140 employees and a number of reputable consultants and contractors to ensure that the roles and responsibilities of my Sections were delivered effectively and in an efficient manner. As Head of Sewerage Projects Section, I was responsible for delivering new assets within allocated budgets, the timescales set and to meet with the end user requirements (i.e., fit for purpose). The duties associated with this post were essentially related to: Long/medium term planning to ensure services were available to new developments Prioritising resource allocation Financial control over my allocated budget of Dhs.850 million per year approximately Project Planning, ensuring the resources were spent effectively and providing value for money Overseeing the work of Project Managers ensuring they operate in a consistent manner following the departmental policies and procedures Liaison with Government Departments, Customers, Sheikhs and Developers Assisting in the resolution of construction problems Making strategic decisions with respect to departmental activities Allocation of responsibilities and supervision of staff Leading in all aspects relating to quality control and safety In my role as Head of Technical Services my responsibilities were more related to the day to day management of asset performance. The Technical Services function effectively set the standards for the Operation and Maintenance Section to deliver. In addition, my Section was responsible for

6 most of the departmental IT infrastructure. The department had invested heavily in an Asset Information Management Systems (AIMS) in order to operate its assets effectively, plan for future investment, provide other utilities with asset positioning information, model development and for system control and data acquisition (SCADA) purposes. As an operational tool, I ensured AIMS was viable, current and reliable. The system had only been in operation for a few years and consequently I needed to build a user client base and educate others on the benefits it could provide. As in my other role, I had financial control of the annual allocated budget and was responsible for other resource management. The softer skills of people management was also very necessary in my job, not only from the staff management point of view, but also for managing stakeholders and their expectations. This frequently required written or oral communication and occasionally it was necessary for me to attend public meetings and give presentations on projects under construction or departmental activities. Feb 03 to Oct 03 HEAD OF TECHNICAL SERVICES SECTION Day to day Management of Abu Dhabi Drainage Network system including; Managing assets in the Irrigation, Stormwater and Sewage Network of Abu Dhabi Head of Handing-Over Committee for completed projects entering the operational environment Establishing and updating contingency plans for the network system Monitoring, handling and management of Abu Dhabi Emirate network data system Managing departmental assets and setting assets operating standards Reviewing and approving requests for house connections Inspection & administration activities of house connections / internal sanitary systems Jan 01 to Feb 03 HEAD OF CIVIL WORKS SECTION & CHIEF PROJECTS ENGINEER, SPC As head of section, I was directly responsible for overseeing the work on 54 construction projects (pipelines & structures) with a total value of approximately Dh800 million and 420 project and support staff. Projects included: NO PROJECT DESCRIPTION 1 Sewer Collection Systems 2 Storm Water Systems Installation of new sewers in Abu Dhabi mainland (Emirate of Abu Dhabi except Abu Dhabi Island) servicing over 10,000 plots and other buildings. Installation of new lines in Zayed residential, Khalifa A & B Shahama, Mussafah, Baniyas, Bahia, and Sadr areas. 3 Rehabilitation Relining of existing trunk sewers. 4 NDM Trunk sewers using Micro-tunneling techniques. 5 Large Sewerage MPS 16 (15m deep with a current & ultimate capacity of 400l/s Pumping Stations &1000l/s), MPS17 (23m deep with a capacity of 2400l/s &1000l/s). 6 Sewerage Treatment Construction at Sila, Liwa, Ghayathi, Al Khatim, Ghantout, & Sila

7 Plants 7 Miscellaneous Works areas. Construction of sea outfalls, pump stations, manholes, and other buildings, tanks, reservoirs and chambers In addition I participated as an active member in the prominent Sewerage Projects Committee and Abu Dhabi Municipalities committees such as: NO COMMITTEE DESCRIPTION 1 Technical Committee of Sewerage Projects Outlining strategy and recommendations. 2 Planning and Co- Reviewing the status of projects being undertaken by Sewerage ordination Projects Committee (i.e. sewerage, storm water, irrigation, O&M) 3 UAE Pipe Sub- Unifying the specifications and testing for GRP, UPVC, AC, VC, Committee and RC pipes used in UAE. 4 Tenders opening and Analysing tenders, reviewing final accounts of contracts, and analysis and Projects settling contractors claims. final accounts 5 Pipe Rehabilitation Pre-qualifying rehabilitation contractors, & overseeing pipe rehabilitation projects. 6 Handing Over Inspecting and taking over projects from contractors. 7 Low Cost Houses Overseeing the construction of 3,200 low cost houses and associated services (sewers, water, electricity, telephones, and roads) in Shamkha, Falah, Bahia, and Sadr areas. 8 Joint Co-ordination Improving co-ordination between projects being executed by roads, Engineering and Sewerage Directorate. 9 Unification of Unifying the specifications and drawings of all projects executed 10 Specifications Consultants Supervisory Staff by the Sewerage Projects Committee.
