1 BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SARPY COUNTY, NEBRASKA RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE E911 SURCHARGE FOR 2018 FY SARPY COUNTY. NEBRASKA WHEREAS, pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat (6), the County has the power to do all acts in relation to the concerns of the County necessary to the exercise of its corporate powers; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat , the powers of the County as a body are exercised by the County Board; and WHEREAS, the Emergency Telephone Communications Systems Act, found at Neb. Rev. Stat. Sec to I, requires the County Board to set the rate of service surcharge for E9 l l to be collected for the coming year by no later than September I; and, WHEREAS, the County is obligated to continue the current rate in order to adequately fund the existing operations of the E911 Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Sarpy County Board of Commissioners that the E911 Service Surcharge as allowed under Neb. Rev. Stat. Sec to commencing January 1, 2018, will continue to be in the amount of $1.00 per month on each telephone number or functional equivalent service user, to the full extent authorized by Neb. Rev. Stat. Sec (1) and (2). This fee will bring in around $510,000 out of total budget requirements of approximately $4,457,322.
