The equipment will be purchased through General Datatech, L.P., a contract vendor through the State of Texas DIR cooperative purchasing program, contract #DIRTS The City of Richardson participates in this program through its existing interlocal agreement for cooperative purchasing pursuant to Texas Government Code Section and Texas Local Government Code Section Funding is provided from 2018 C.O.s, Project #PB1804. Steege, Chief Information OfficeV Purchase of APC Equipment for Public Safety Complex In support of the Public Safety Complex; The City of Richardson desires to purchase American Power Conversion (APC) equipment. This includes: Power Distribution Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) Equipment Racks Equipment Cooling Units (Air Conditioning) This will support server room equipment, 911 systems, and public safety dispatch consoles. The effort will allow the City of Richard on to realize substantial pricing discounts (approximately $165,000). Additionally, due to supply limitations, our lead time to purchase the equipment has increased from 120 days to 180 days. Thus there is urgency to complete the procurement so as not to impact funding and/or project time lines. It is my recommendation that we move forward with the purchase of the APC equipment for the Public Safety Complex. I recommend that the purchase be made through General Datatech, L.P.
