3 Overview The General Ledger interface application generates extract files for certain DNA reports for further processing and reporting. Processing The following DNA reports generate comma-separated value (CSV) extract files, based on the value of the Frontier Extract File YN (6REX) parameter. The extracts do not contain the totals section. 4 Guidelines for General Ledger Extract Files The following data integrity rules apply to all General Ledger extract files: Each line is terminated with a carriage return/line feed (CR/LF). All date fields in the extracts display in MM/DD/YYYY format. All time fields in the extracts display in 24-hour format. All percentage fields in the extracts display a maximum of five digits with three decimal digits (##.###). All rate fields in the extracts display a maximum of six digits with five decimal digits (#.#####). If a report does not generate the LIS file or generates the LIS with blank or no records, the CSV file for the respective report does not generate. All data elements containing alphanumeric values are enclosed in double quotes ( ). The posting date and the effective date of the queue displays as the first record in the extract. The file generation date and time are added at the end of the name of the CSV extract file as follows: ReportName_YYYYMMDDHHMISS.csv Scheduling and Re-Running Information (for batch applications) As per current scheduling.
