3 Overview: This application changes branch ownership of all accounts in one branch to a single different branch. Processing: This updating application selects all accounts having the specified Branch Org Number and changes them to the New Branch Number specified in the application parameters, the application updates the branch number even if the New Branch Number does exist in DNA. PS_BRNCHCHNG creates the necessary DNA database entries to schedule the branch change for the current system post date. The actual changes are processed by the DNA branch change application, MM_BRCHG. As such, the PS_BRNCHCHNG must complete successfully before the MM_BRCHG application is run. This custom application logs the branch changes to the DNA activity tables and produces a report for review. In the event that a selected account has a future-dated branch change record, an error is written to the report as Already Scheduled: <Branch Nbr> on <Effective Date>. If the new branch organization number and existing branch organization number is passed as same in parameters then an error is written to the report as The new Branch Organization Number and existing Branch Organization Number cannot be same.. 4 Scheduling (for batch applications): The actual changes are processed by the DNA branch change application, MM_BRCHG. As such, the PS_BRNCHCHNG must complete successfully before the MM_BRCHG application is run. Report (s): This application produces a report containing the Account Number, Account Owner Name, and Major/Minor Account Type for the changed accounts, along with the total number of accounts updated. Field Listing: Field Account Number Owner Major Minor Accounts Updated Already Scheduled Description Custom Branch Change Account Number for which the branch will be changed. The name of account owner. The major account type of the account. The minor account type of the account. Summary Total number of accounts eligible for branch change. If you did not obtain this application from the DNAappstore, please complete the installation instructions below. Run the PS_BRNCHCHNG.SQL script to register the application. If not defined already, edit the institution option BATP (PS Batch Report Directory) with the designation of a custom program directory (ex: G:\OSI\BANK\BAT_EXE\PS\). Copy the PS_BRNCHCHNG.SQT to the Professional Services (PS) directory. Once PS_BRNCHCHNG.SQL script has been successfully run, PS_BRNCHCHNG.SQT can be executed in Batch. In the System Module of DNA, go to Institution > Applications and enter the supplied Authorization Key for this application. Page 5 of 6
