2 Publisher 2010 Fundamental Concepts Publisher is used to create artwork for brochures, printing, or displays on the web. It is perfect for illustrations, pamphlets, and single page artwork. In the courseware, students will work with navigation tools to move around Publisher and review the screen layout. In addition, several features will be highlighted and covered in the courseware. For example, templates are an important part of Publisher, and the different types of design layouts will be reviewed. Furthermore, since text must be placed in text boxes, students will be shown how to link them into one thread. Also, students will be shown how page layouts and master page structures can be modified for all pages. In summary, all of the above features will be demonstrated in the course through several design projects ranging from single page fliers to Trifolds. This book is designed in conjunction with an Online-Instructor-Led course (for more information see: Unlike other manuals, you will not need to review lengthy procedures in order to learn a topic. All you will need are the brief statements and command paths located within the book to show you how to use a concept. Furthermore, you will find that this book is often used as a reference to help comprehend a concept quickly, and an index is provided on the last page of the book to reference pages as needed. However, if more detail is needed, you can always use the Internet to search a concept. Also, if your skills are weak due to lack of use, you can refresh your memory quickly by visually scanning the concepts needed and then testing them out using the application.
