3 EXPECTATIONS & HOW TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL IN THIS COURSE Understanding the Software application skills requires repetitive knowledge, dedication and practice. In other words, it will NOT be sufficient to repeat the topics in one night just before the exams. There are some small points that might help to increase your success in this course: Attend the lectures: The easiest way to follow the topics and capture the crucial points is attending the lectures. In the lectures, we will cover the topics in the most compact way, which you can rarely cover by yourself. Read: The slide provides enough information to be successful in this course. However, to go beyond the limits of this, read anything that you find related to the topics that are going to be covered during the lectures. It is best to read other resources to be better equipped in the future. Get prepared: In order to follow the topics in the lectures successfully, you have to be prepared for the lecture. Read the next chapter thoroughly and prepare questions where you need some advice. If you cannot find enough time to read the slides, and then at least scan it. Print those slides as handouts and bring them to the lectures, so that you can take notes directly on the slides. Do many exercises: The only way to improve your language and communication skills is by experience. In order to gain that experience, you have to do many exercises. At the end of each unit you will find several exercises that cover the topics in that unit. Read those exercises and attempt these questions. Homework: Practice makes perfect. By doing homework, you will further understand the subject matter and is a good training ground as a good preparation for the assignments and exams.
