1 .MTS (MPEG-TS) audio out of sync second clip Posted by Arvidovic - 12 Jun :50 I read a lot, but still can't find the solution, please help. From the second clip until the twelfth and last, audio lags a fraction. A common problem with.mts files it seems, but how to solve? I ran the 'Audio/Video Sync Test Clips' from this forum and it seems to be out of sync by 2 frames, but that shouldn't have to do with the exported film anyway if I understand correctly. And with.mov clips from my EOS-5D though, it works fine, all synced. I already edited all clips, so if there's a solution without importing and editing again from the start, tell me please. By the way, playing the files in videoplayers, there is no audio delay. Edit: Followed a tip from another topic, updated from Lw 14.0 to Beta 14.5, but it didn't help. Not with the existing project, nor with a new one. I can't say, you must make some further tests to find out what's the truth. Posted by hugly - 15 Jun :49 An additional idea: Theoretically, the waveform on the timeline at the very beginning of each clip should show the delay as level zero with some kind of jitter at start of sound. You can try to trim level zero out and apply an audio crossfade at the cut point, but 15 frames is really a lot. It could be that it makes sense to correct that delay in Audacity (or whatever DAW which supports video import), because it could be that at the very end of each clip there's some audio which isn't present in 6 / 8

7 Lightworks but might be visible in Audacity. Again, I don't know, see what you can find out. Posted by khaver - 15 Jun :28 Arvidovic, if you re on Windows, google for a program called tsmuxer. Use this program to transfer the files from your camera to your computer. Point the app to the playlist file on the sd card, set the type to m2ts, set the destination, and hit start. The app will transfer all the spanned files to your computer as a single file. There should then be no glitches between the spanned files and no audio display. Khaver do you have any idea why Lightworks can't compensate for stream delay on VOBs any media player can deal with? Posted by khaver - 15 Jun :04 Blu-ray and DVD players rely on metadata stored in separate files from the video files to playback correctly. That s why I use tsmuxer to transfer my camcorder recorded files to my computer. It reads the data in the playlist file to reconstruct the entire stream onto my computer. 8 I understand that chunked material in VOB, TS, MTS, M2TS (and some other) containers can have specific stream delays per chunc and there can be some separated standardized metadata files with them. I thought, but I don't know, that the.aix2 and.vix index files created by Lightworks when analyzing this kind of material are intended to compensate for that (and maybe other timing issues hidden in the stream). What I see on some material I have here is, that Lightworks doubles the delay visible in mediainfo instead of compensating for it which I have reported as a bug long time ago with V14.0 beta. Interestingly, when placing this material away from its metadata in a separate folder, any media player I have here compensates the stream delay without creating any index file, thus I think compensation can be done either based on header information or stream data. Maybe the problems I'm encountering are different from OPs problem, but I do not understand, that Lightworks users should be supposed to use a software like tsmuxer, which is far beside of any mainstream, to make such material editable in Lightworks? 8 / 8
