1 Can Lightworks support JVC Everio file format? Posted by davidomatic - 17 Apr :51 Hi everyone, Im an Jvc Everio user. those cameras store video recorded on an internal HD with.tod extension. Also Im an Pinnacle/Avid Liquid user (a great NLE but discontinued), I managed to import those.tod files on Liquid just replacing the.tod by.m2t that was all. Now that Liquid is discontinued and has no support nor updates I'm looking for a new NLE to migrate. I've been testing lightworks since they announced its open source move, with no luck on importing my source material... Now that the subsequent beta releases shows huge improvements in the codecs/formats field I wonder if would be possible to import that.tod material, wich is no other thing than MPEG 2 video. I've used Sony Vegas before and never had any problems with.tod files, but can't import them to Lightworks. Is there a way to fix this, or can anyone recomend a way to reencode the file to a different format somehow? Posted by icc - 03 Oct :16.m2t support for the *Pro* version only. I don't have pro and havn't found a good program that can convert the.tod files. Guess my only option is to go back to Vegas then, since I'm a student and don't have the. 5 Posted by rhinox Oct :21 Have you tried using the EyeFrame Converter by forum member tin2tin? It should output usable files. Posted by davidomatic - 03 Oct :28 well,.tod files are (at least the ones my camera record) encoded to mpeg 2. I remember in previous version of lightworks (11.0.1) it was able to import mpeg2.mts files (it seems somebody forgot to block it in that build). On current free version that's not posible.
