1 .MTS (MPEG-TS) audio out of sync second clip Posted by Arvidovic - 12 Jun :50 I read a lot, but still can't find the solution, please help. From the second clip until the twelfth and last, audio lags a fraction. A common problem with.mts files it seems, but how to solve? I ran the 'Audio/Video Sync Test Clips' from this forum and it seems to be out of sync by 2 frames, but that shouldn't have to do with the exported film anyway if I understand correctly. And with.mov clips from my EOS-5D though, it works fine, all synced. I already edited all clips, so if there's a solution without importing and editing again from the start, tell me please. By the way, playing the files in videoplayers, there is no audio delay. Edit: Followed a tip from another topic, updated from Lw 14.0 to Beta 14.5, but it didn't help. Not with the existing project, nor with a new one. Thank you for the information. Could it be with the second file that sound is shifted by a constant amount over the entire duration and the shift is close to 30 frames (in a 25 fps project)? 7 Posted by hugly - 13 Jun :59 Most precisely by inspecting the waveform on the timeline for events/peaks which are visible in picture as well and counting the frames with frame steps in between. If there are no suitable events, try estimating the distance between sound and picture in tenth of a second when playing. For the test, please restart Lightworks, create a new project, select 25 fps when creating, import the second video (" : 16 min 37s"), create a sequence with just that clip, and see what you can find out. Please tell also if audio is too early (advanced) or too late (delayed) referring to the picture. Posted by Arvidovic - 13 Jun :40 That last thing was a good idea, to rule things out, but didn't help. Also tried the same with later files, always with an audio delay of about 00:00:01:05. So it must be in the files itself. As you can see in the info: Video vertraging : -80 ms (Dutch for video delay). I don't understand that. Strange thing: the first file has that too but has no audio delay, so I don't think that has anything to do with it. By the way, playing the files in videoplayers, there is no audio delay, so it has to do something with how Lw handles them, but then I don't understand why the first file works fine. 8 I don't understand your feedback exactly. Please confirm that the file which shows "Video vertraging : -600 ms" and " : 16 min 37s" is the file you have just tested and that it shows a delay (audio is too late) of exactly 30 frames in 25 fps project. Posted by Arvidovic - 13 Jun :12 Oh and I forgot to mention: The cuts between the clips are made by the camera itself. And there's a slight jitter/scatter/disturbance every time. Already not happy with that (I never borrow it again), but might it cause the audio delay? Because the first clip has no lag. Yes it's that file, sorry, -80ms is text. Yes -600ms. Yes, audio delay is about 30 frames. Is that 600ms? Now I see a difference in the file info: First clip has -80, second How to solve? Edit: I checked all files now and most are about -600 and some -80. Posted by hugly - 13 Jun :30 30 frames are 1200ms. Please make the same test with two additional files showing a significant delay in mediainfo. You can use the same project and timeline for that. Then, post what delay mediainfo shows and how many frames of delay you're encountering in Lightworks for each file. It's very likely that you encountered a know issue with some containers (mpg, vob, mts, m2ts) which show an audio delay where Lightworks doubles the stream delay instead of compensating for it. I would have thought that this issue is fixed with V14.5? It should be possible to correct by simply deleting some leading frames on the audio tracks for each file. To calculate the frames, use: framecount [frames] = 25 [frames/second]* 2 * delay [seconds]example: 25 * 2 * = 28.8 ~ 29 Please try this for the already imported files: Right click on a clip, execute "Make.Sequence" and open the sequence. On timeline start mark and park the calculated frame count, click on track name V1 left hand side to disable V1 and press X-key to delete. Listen and see if it helps. If it helps repeat for the rest. You can put all corrected sequences in a bin and use them as source (as if they were clips) for your target sequence.
