1 Quick Start Guide to e-submission using Turnitin GradeMark Before you start, please note: 1. You must use your Anglia Ruskin address with the Turnitin service. 2. The date and time by which you have to submit your assignment is calculated against Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) which is adjusted for daylight saving. If you are not in the United Kingdom, please ensure that you consider any time difference when calculating your submission date and time. 3. You should never leave it until the last minute to submit your assignment to Turnitin. Your first submission should be no later than 48 hours before the assignment submission deadline. Step 1: Log in to your Turnitin GradeMark Account Access Turnitin through the Application Links section on your My.Anglia page (from here, you will also be able to download guidance and answers to frequently asked questions). Log in to your Turnitin Account using your university student address and the Turnitin password you have been provided with. Note: Always log in to Turnitin through myanglia. If you do not, you may find that you are directed to which is the US site. 2 Step 2: Access the assignment. When you log in to your Turnitin account you will be taken to your student homepage (like the one shown below). Click on the class module link for the module you want to submit your assignment to. Once the class is open, you will be taken to a page like the one shown below, which contains details about the assignment you are submitting to. 2.1 Click submit to start the process of submitting your assignment Click here to view details of a previous submission. 3 You will see the: Anglia Learning and Teaching assignment start date (the date and time from which you can first submit an assignment); the assignment due date (the date and time by which your assignment must be received by us, and the assignment post date (the date and time that your results will be available). Important: The date and time by which you have to submit your assignment is calculated against Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) which is adjusted for daylight saving. If you are not in the United Kingdom, please ensure that you consider any time difference when calculating your submission date and time. Note: There may be more than one assignment for a class. Click submit against the appropriate assignment. Step 3: Submit your assignment 3.1. Complete your assignment details Shown overleaf are examples of the information that must be entered into the submission form and what the completed form should look like. (As you will see, your first name and last name will already have been entered by Turnitin Grademark.) You will then need to: type your SID number (and ONLY your SID number) into the submission title box; click on Choose File and browse to where you have saved your assignment; select the assignment file you wish to submit (make sure it is one of the allowed file types and no larger than 20 MB in size) and click upload. 4 3.2 Check that you have uploaded the correct assignment. 3.3 Step two of the submission process (shown below) will confirm your name (Author), the Title you are submitting your assignment under (which must be your SID number), and a preview of the first page of the assignment you have uploaded. 5 click submit. 3.4 Step two of the submission process (shown below) will confirm your name (Author), the Title you are submitting your assignment under (which must be your SID number), and a preview of the first page of the assignment you have uploaded. Check this is the correct assignment and, when you are happy, Your name Your SID number click submit. If you have uploaded the wrong file, simply click return to upload page and start again. Step 4: Confirmation of Receipt of Assignment. After clicking on submit, you will be taken to a digital receipt page (shown below). This confirms that your submission was successful, a receipt will also be sent to your Anglia Ruskin student address from Turnitin Grademark (jisc_help@turnitin.com). 6 Click go to portfolio to continue. Step 5: Resubmitting an Assignment. As long as your tutor has set up the assignment to allow multiple submissions, you can resubmit an assignment (following the previous instructions) at any time. However, an Originality Report for a resubmission will take up to 24 hours to generate. You may also see the following message: Important: You should never leave it until the last minute to submit your assignment to Turnitin for checking. Your first submission should be no later than 48 hours before the assignment submission deadline.
