2 Dynamics 365 Business Central Installation Dynamics 365 Business Central extension Go to the Microsoft Appsource, search for Advanced-Forms. Click on Trial, the extension will be installed automatically. Configuration Dynamics 365 Business Central extension Setup Before using Dynamics 365 Business Central extension, make sure to complete the following settings. Report-Layout selection The Dynamics 365 Business Central extension uses the Custom Reports Layouts functionality to generate an XML file for use in the Advanced-Forms workflow. 1. Search in Dynamics 365 for Report Layout Selection

3 2. Select the report you want to redirect to the Advanced-Forms server. This set-up will redirect the lay-out to the Advanced-Forms connector. 3. Change the column Selected Lay-out: From RDLC (built in) to Custom Layout. 4. When you change this setting a pop-up will appear. Add a new record by clicking on new:

4 5. Click on 'Insert Word Lay-out': 6. The custom Lay-out is set for the report: 7. Click on 'OK' 8. After this set-up the report will trigger a web services request for the preview function or generate an XML file for distribution. Advanced-Forms Configuration Locate the Advanced-Forms Menu.

5 The following options are available: Server Configuration Report Configuration Printer Configuration Address Configuration Distribution Output Rule 1 Output Rule 2 Output Rule 3 Server Configuration Click on 'New':

6 Give the Configuration a name; Enter the IP-address of the Advanced Forms Server plus the Port available for the web-service; Enter the time-out, default is ms. Report Configuration Insert a new line for every report you want to use in Advanced-Forms. Layout Selections To activate the usage of the Advanced Forms connector for the configured report. Make sure you configure the Report Layout Selection (See: Advanced-Forms Custom Report Layouts) Enter the Report ID Report Name is automatically connected to the Report ID Account No. Field, this is the field containing the Account number. This creates a relation between the printed document and the distribution-rules as set-up in the Distribution Configuration Account type, Customer, Vendor or Contact Show Distribution pop-up, allows you to add or change distribution setting before you print Shipping code field, creates a relation between printed document and a specific Shipping Code. This shipping code can be used to define a distribution rule per shipping code. Document No. Field, when printing multiple copies and the Document No. is filled, the Distribution pop-up will show only once. Xpath split, this specifies on which XML-field a batch should be split. Configuration, this specifies the server configuration a report is connected to. The report will be sent to the server specified in the Server Configuration. Printer Configuration

7 Printers can be configured by simply adding a name. This information will be added to all XML s which are exported by Advanced-Forms when you add the printer to the distribution These printers do not reflect the ones which are configured within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. It only serves as a look-up list used for Accounts and Reports configuration. From Here you can define different addresses, you can later use in your NAV distribution to set up the from address. Click on 'New' and enter an address. Distribution In this screen you can see an overview of distribution settings per report and account level Report ID, the report for which this rule applies. The Report Name. Account type, Customer, Vendor or Contact. Account No. If you have specific rules for a customer, vendor or contact, enter the account number. Account Name. Shipping code, If you have specific rules for a shipping code enter the Shipping code. Printer enabled, toggle on or off, this applies to this rule. Printer name, specific Printer name for this rule. Mail enabled, toggle on or of, this applies for this rule. Mail to, specific address for this rule, where the will be sent to. Mail CC, specific address for this rule, where the will be sent to as a copy. Mail BCC, specific address for this rule, where the will be sent to as a hidden copy.

Output rules 1,2 and 3, the output rules give extra information, which you can later use in the Advanced Forms It's important to use default-rules. For example: flow, or design. Line 1: When you generate a line without report ID this line will be the default for all reports. So this will be your top/first level distribution setting. Line 2: This line has only a report ID. So this line is the default distribution setting for the Report 206. All Invoices will be printed to the TESTprinter when there is no settings found at account level. Line 3+4: Here you see a representation of your settings as configured at the customer card. Output Rules Output Rules can be used for additional Distribution, Routing and Layout options in the Advanced-Forms workflow. There are three Output rules available on the Customer/Vendor card, these must first be configured in this section. Output Rule 1: This rule is based on a Report ID, only the Rules for a certain Report ID will be available in the distribution section. Click on 'new', enter a Report ID and a layout. The layout will be the content of the node in the XML Output Rule 2: This rule will be available on all Reports in the Distribution. Click on 'new' and enter a name. The name will be the content of the node in the XML. Output Rule 3: This rule will be available on all Reports in the Distribution.

9 Click on 'new' and enter a name. The name will be the content of the node in the XML. Print and Preview To print and preview, the following actions apply: (Sales invoices are used for example, this applies to all reports you have set in the report layout selection on Advanced-Forms Layout) Click on 'Actions'

10 1+2: Both options open the distribution pop-up, with the preview already opened Set or change the options Set or change the print options Set or change the output rules Set or change the shipping codes When printing a batch, you can switch this on, so the distribution-popup will show only once. Click on 'Actions' and 'Process:

11 This will send the XML to Advanced Forms, to process and create an output.
