1 UNIVERSITÀ DEGLI STUDI DI TORINO DIREZIONE DIDATTICA E SERVIZI AGLI STUDENTI ENROLMENT PROCEDURE FOR INCOMING STUDENTS ACADEMIC YEAR 2014/2015 Version 01 dated This procedure is addressed to international students spending a study period at the University of Torino during the academic year 2014/2015, as part of the Erasmus+ programme or in the frame of specific exchange programmes with our Departments. Please read carefully ALL the instructions and information regarding the procedures and carry out ALL the administrative steps requested. NOTE: This procedure should NOT be followed by: 1) Students taking part in a double degree programme (laurea binazionale), who should directly contact the Secretariat of the related Department in Torino in order to be registered. These students will namely be registered as properly enrolled students and not as exchange students. Only students taking part in a double degree programme at the School of Management and Economics should instead fill in the online Application Form. 2) Students coming to Torino for Traineeship in the frame of the Erasmus+ Programme, who should not fill in the Application Form, but send an to relint@unito.it in order to receive instructions about their mobility period. Application Form As first step, each student must carry out an online registration. In order to complete the Application Form, please follow the step by step instructions available in this document from page 4 onwards. Please note that in order to receive the confirmation of acceptance as incoming student at the University of Torino, the International Mobility Office must have received by (relint@unito.it) the student s nomination from the University of origin. The deadlines for filling in the Application Form for the academic year 2014/2015 are: - 31/08/2014 for students arriving in the first semester or for the whole academic year; - 30/11/2014 for students arriving in the second semester. The data supplied will be the official reference to contact each student and to produce the documents related to the exchange programme. For this reason it is recommended to complete the Application Form carefully. Once the application form deadlines have passed, each student, properly registered, will receive further information concerning the exchange programme in Torino; for example, regarding the free Italian language courses and the orientation meetings for incoming students. 2 UNIVERSITÀ DEGLI STUDI DI TORINO DIREZIONE DIDATTICA E SERVIZI AGLI STUDENTI The confirmation of the administrative enrolment at the University of Torino can be sent to students even after the above mentioned deadlines, following the check of the Application Form by the International Mobility Office. Study programme in Torino (Learning Agreement) The International Mobility office (Ufficio Mobilità Internazionale) is NOT in charge of the approval of the Learning Agreement. This document must be agreed directly with the related Department in Torino. The name and contact details of the professor in charge of approving the learning agreement is specified in the application form as Departmental Coordinator. Please note that for some Departments (mainly Medicine and Surgery area) or in the case of special study projects (internships and thesis researches) it is necessary to verify the study plan with the Italian professor in charge of the bilateral agreement BEFORE arriving in Torino. Please note that lessons at the University of Torino are usually in Italian and exams should mostly be taken in Italian as well. Students interested in taking the exams in other languages must check with the professor of each course if they are allowed to. Orientation meetings and enrolment at the University of Torino The Erasmus office organises orientation meetings recommended to all incoming international students. During the orientation meetings, students: 1) are informed about the University services and procedures to be followed during the mobility period (Italian language courses, Learning Agreement, procedures for taking exams, extension procedures, etc); 2) can find useful information concerning their stay in Torino. Before the beginning of the first semester students with their Application Form properly completed, will receive via the schedule of the meetings planned from mid-september to the beginning of October Information about meetings planned for the second semester will be provided after 30/11/2014. Free Italian language courses for incoming students The University of Torino offers all Erasmus and international students free 40-hours Italian language courses. The courses start at the beginning of each semester and are divided into 3 levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced. The timetable of the first semester will be available in mid-september and it will be forwarded to all students who will have their Application Form properly completed. First semester courses will start approximately at the end of September or beginning of October, while second semester courses will start in February Incoming procedure v Pagina 2 di 18

3 STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM Enter the Unito homepage and click on Login MyUniTO on the right side of the page In the section ACCEDI A MYUNITO click on the tag Registrati al portale Incoming procedure v Pagina 3 di 18

5 Insert your personal data in the form. WARNING: the password you enter in this form is the password to be used to log-in in MyUnito and will be necessary to complete your application form and manage all procedures during your mobility period. THEREFORE PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS PASSWORD. NOTE: Province and city of birth are not to be specified if the country of birth is different than Italy, as well as the tax code (codice fiscale) has to be indicated only by Italian users. Make sure you enter a valid and active address, as it will be used to confirm your registration and continue your online application form. After having filled in all mandatory field, click on Submit to send your data. Incoming procedure v Pagina 5 di 18

7 WARNING: YOUR REGISTRATION HAS TO BE CONFIRMED WITHIN ONE HOUR! Enter immediately your account and confirm your registration by clicking on the link specified in the Registration to the University of Torino, Portal Services. Incoming procedure v Pagina 7 di 18

8 Check once again your account to get your username to log-in in MyUnito and continue with your application form. Enter the Unito homepage: and click once again on Login MyUniTO Incoming procedure v Pagina 8 di 18

9 Insert your username (as specified in the ) and password (the one you indicated in the registration form) and then click on Login Click on International Mobility and then on Application form for incoming students to continue your application. Incoming procedure v Pagina 9 di 18

10 Click on the blue button Application form for incoming students After clicking on Application Form for Incoming students, the system will request you to confirm your personal data and add the missing ones. Incoming procedure v Pagina 10 di 18

11 Insert the requested data. NOTE: the tax code DOES NOT HAVE TO BE INDICATED as it will be automatically generated by the system after clicking on Submit. When the tax code will appear on screen, click once again on Submit. Incoming procedure v Pagina 11 di 18

12 Enter the requested data concerning your ID or Passport Select the country of residence and wait for the page to be refreshed accordingly. Incoming procedure v Pagina 12 di 18

13 Then specify the city and address of residence and make sure you select Y at the request Current address is the same as permanent address Select the option Residence address and select your preferences about privacy and transmission of your personal data Incoming procedure v Pagina 13 di 18

14 Check the personal data you specified in the previous forms. After having completed the confirmation of your personal data, click once again on International Mobility Application form for incoming students Incoming procedure v Pagina 14 di 18

18 Check your data resume. NOTE: in this section you can check the name and contact details of your Departmental coordinator. Click on Submit to send your application form.
