5 Getting Started Sign in DNBi is a single platform requiring one sign in. Use your registered address and the password ed to you. You will be asked to change your password on your initial access to DNBi Passwords are case sensitive and must contain at least 8 characters including 1 uppercase, 1 numerical and 1 special character Click on Forgot your password tab To reset your password at any time 5

6 Navigate DNBi Dashboard The DNBi dashboard provides an overview of your portfolio at a quick glance. Providing the opportunity for you to quickly understand areas of concern or opportunity within your portfolio. Easy to navigate and keeping you up to date with changing risks. 7 Failure (FRS) and Late Payment Risk (LPRS) Donut Graphs The graph display provides you with a high level view of your clients risk of late payment and failure within the next 12 months. Entities are rated from Low to High risk. Click on the donut graph to expand the risk catergory view. Click on the low or high areas within the graph to expand the display to: minimal, very low and low or high, very high and severe risk catergories Click on the specific graph area to display the 10 top entities with the relevant catergory To display all entities within the category click on the tab 7

8 Alert Notifications & Latest Ordered Reports Provides you with quick access to all recently ordered reports and notifications when any pending investigation has completed. Latest ordered reports will display the most recent 10 reports Click on Report Centre tab to open All reports will display in the report centre in date order from most recent. Click on entity title to open and view report Click on the entity title then view entity tab to display the completed report in notification centre *Refer to DNBi Manage Core Risk Monitoring user guide for detailed information on monitoring 8

9 Refine your search for Report Centre and Notification Centre by clicking on the Filter tab Seach for and entity using: Name D-U-N-S number, ACN, ABN or NCN number Date Range Last reviewed by Refine further by: Country State Report type Monitoring profile (if applicable) Group (if applicable) 9

10 Commercial Entity Search Country drop down menu Add entity name, ACN, ABN or D-U-N-S number into the search box click on Choose the country from the drop down menu. Australia will default Add the entity you want to search using: Name, ACN, ABN or D-U-N-S number In the example below BHP has returned: 100 results from the Database with similar criteria 1 result in File Archive Database Resuts File ArchiveTab Google Results 10

11 If the entity your are seeking does not display you can refine your search, using the filter options: Company Type Identify the legal forms of interest Sn) State Limit the selection to one or more states Status Limit the selection by the status recorded at ASIC 11

12 Purchase a Report The date data was last extracted from ASIC Request the report best suited to your requirements. Greyed out reports are not available. 12

13 According on the report you are ordering you may have the option to choose: The latest ASIC data Refreshed current and historical ASIC data No ASIC information Requesting PPSR information will include data related to ACN number Tick this box for an copy to be sent to your inbox 1. Complete your order with the required references (as per your business): Billing reference (Mandatory) Credit / Enquiry Amount (Optional) Enquiry Type (Optional) 2. Click on PPSR if you would like information from the Personal Property Securities Register related to the ACN number to be included with your D&B report 3. Purchase and View Report 13

14 DNBi provides the capability to order ASIC documents for the entity you are searching. From the Select a report menu click on Document List. This will return the top 150 most recent documents lodged with ASIC. Click on the relevant document or expand you search criteria by clicking on Search if the document you are looking for does not display. 14

16 Navigate the Report DNBi displays a report summary page enabling you to immediately view key information on the entity. Scroll down for detailed information in each section. Download and print a copy of the PDF You can choose to view through easy navigation tools or by scrolling through the report. If previously requested a PDF copy will be sent to your inbox Report Print and Save Options Print click the option to download the full report as a PDF and print Save select to save the PDF to your desktop The report will be available in your DNBi archive file without the need to select save 16

17 Archive DNBi provides an audit trail and shared workspace for all users within your organisation. The archive function stores all reports previously ordered with any notes added by users. These reports are available to all users, and are listed on the entity s archive page. Search Entity for Archived Report Enter the entity Name, ACN, ABN or DUNS number in the search bar Click on the file archive tab and the entity name All reports ordered for that entity will display 17

18 DNBi stores all activities associated with an entity in the archive, providing a full audit including report order dates. To view a previously ordered report click on the report name in the Reports ordered section. To order a new report for the same entity click on Buy Report you will be taken to the report order page where you can select and purchase. Recent Notifications will also display on this screen. Notes Archived reports provide the option to add notes to your file. Stored Notes can be filtered by author Add note: click on either of the two options Displayed Filtered List of Authors 18

19 Alternative Archive Retrieval All reports are stored under the Archive Tab Reports are displayed by order date from most recent To filter your search click on the Filter tab Total Number of Files Stored in Archive Filter DNBi provides a number of navigation tools to aid your search for a specific entity, use the Filter bar to complete an advanced search 19

20 Individual Search DNBi allows you to search for an individual s details. Options available will be according to your subscription. ASIC Personal Name Extract, detailing personal data as held by ASIC including directorship, shareholder and offices held. ASIC Personal Name Extract Click on Individual Search Historical Search: Provides current data plus all previous information available through ASIC. This option will default Complete details First name, Middle Name (if known), Surname Adding a date of birth range will refine the search Click on the search icon Include Shareholdings: Report will include all shareholding information for the individual 20

22 Alternatively whilst viewing a company extract, click on any Directors name and the hyperlink will take you through to the individual search results screen (as shown on previous page in user guide) Click on the D-U-N-S number in the report to display the entity details of any other entities the individual is associated with. 22

27 Third Party Reports DNBi provides the option to search additional reports from Third Party suppliers including: Bankruptcy Register Land Titles PPSR, Personal Property Securities Register Bankruptcy Register 1. 30 Usage Reports Holding your mouse over your name at the bottom of the screen choose usage report from the pop up. Enter a date range to view a list of all reports ordered within this range. This list will display the name of the person in your organisation who requested the report along with the costs and your billing reference. Download the list. 30
