2 INTRODUCTION Dear Student, Welcome to Botho University Application Portal. The Application portal allows you to apply for your desired programme and also to view all applications you have made. This quick reference will guide you the steps for registering and submitting an application through the Botho Application Portal. Notes: Please note that you need to have a valid id to register with our portal. Therefore if you do not have a valid id, please create one beforehand. Applicants are encouraged to submit only one application form. In case of multiple applications received for the same applicant the one received first will be considered. Page 2 of 7

3 STEPS Accessing Botho Application Portal 1. You can access our portal via the url 2. Once done you will enter into the our portal home page as shown below: 3. From the portal home page select Application Portal to access our Application Portal. Registering a new Account 1. Before you submit an application you need to register with our portal. 2. To register, click the link Register Now as shown below. 3. This link will take you to a Registration page as shown below: Page 3 of 7

4 4. Fill in all details and submit. a. Please make sure all mandatory (*) fields are completed. 5. When your registration is successful, we will send an to you with the temporary to access the portal. Changing the temporary password 1. Now check your account. 2. Open the mail from to access the temporary password sent to you as shown below: 3. Now come back to our Application Portal and logon using your id and the temporary password. Page 4 of 7

5 4. Since you are logging on for the first time, you will be prompted to change your temporary password: 5. Click Submit to continue. 6. Now you will see the home page for Botho Application Portal. Creating a new Application 1. From the home page select My Applications tab to create/submit a new application as shown below. 2. Now you will get another page which will list all the applications you have submitted. A first time applicant or a new student will see an empty page. 3. Now click Create at the bottom right to start applying a new application. Page 5 of 7

6 4. Select the Application Type you want to apply from the combo box as illustrated below: 5. Click the Proceed button to get the application form. 6. The application form is divided into several sections. 7. Use the buttons at the bottom of the page to move around the sections: a. Save and Next To go to the Next section. b. Save and Previous To go to the Previous section. c. Submit To submit your application. 8. The image below shows the Welcome section. Page 6 of 7

7 9. The same application is used for applying both Campus and Distance Learning. Refer the below image for details: a. Select Programme References (2). b. Students who want to study on Campus: i. Select Campus Learning in Mode of Learning (3). ii. Select your preferred campus under Location of Study (4). c. Students who want to study via Distance Learning: i. Please select Distance Learning in both Mode of Learning and Location of Study. 2. Continue and complete all details in all sections. 3. Finally click the Submit button in the last section to submit your application.
