1 MCOE Candidate Portal Documentation Welcome to the Merced County Office of Education Candidate Web Interface! This Document will take you through the steps for accessing the MCOE Candidate Portal. WEBSITE ACCESS To reach the MCOE Candidate Portal, use the following URL: tinyurl.com/tip-candidate-1. To copy the URL, highlight it with your mouse and right-click with your mouse or press the Command and C keys at the same time. Paste the URL into your Web Browser Accessing the Online Portal requires Candidates to use their MCOE assigned Log In information. This will be your primary address and a code assigned by the MCOE Database. Upon clicking on the URL ( you should be taken to the screen pictured below. An address and password are required. If the incorrect information is entered, you will see this dialogue box. If this is an error please contact your administrator. Page 1

2 PORTAL Once you have logged into the MCOE Candidate Portal you will be taken to the Portal Main Page from which you can access Individual Learning Plans and Learning Logs. You should see the screen below: NOTE: The Professional Development module is not currently active. Page 2

3 INDIVIDUAL LEARNING PLAN To view an Individual Learning Plan detail screen, click or tap anywhere on the ILP row. You should be taken to the Individual Learning Plan detail screen as shown below: The form above is the entire Individual Learning Form. Once you are done with the sheet click the Save button to save any entered data and return to the Candidate Portal Main Page. NOTE: Clicking the Back button will return you to the Candidate Portal Main Page and any unsaved answers will be lost. Page 3

4 If a comment has been left on any of the ILP items, the Comment button will display red instead of brown as seen below: To view or respond to comments made on any of the ILP items, click the Comments button. You should see the popover pictured below: Once you are finished with your Individual Mentoring Plan form and have either saved the form or submitted a final draft, you will be returned to the Candidate Portal Main page. NOTE: Clicking the Back button will return you to the Mentor Portal Main Page and any unsaved answers will be lost. Page 4

5 CANDIDATE LEARNING LOGS To view the Candidate Learning Log detail screen, click or tap anywhere on a Learning Log row. You should be taken to the Learning Log detail screen as shown below: The form above is the entire Learning Log form. Once you are done with the sheet click the Save button to save any entered data and return to the Candidate Portal Main Page. NOTE: Clicking the Back button will return you to the Candidate Portal Main Page and any unsaved answers will be lost. Page 5

7 MY PROFILE On the My Profile tab you may update personal information such as your address, , phone numbers, school, etc. Please note, you must click Save Changes to update the information. If you do not click Save Changes and log out of the portal, your information will not be saved. FINAL NOTES A limited amount of users can be connected to the Web Portal at a given time so if you are finished entering information in the Candidate Portal, please be sure to click the Log Out button or close the browser tab/ window. This will ensure you have ended your session and are disconnected from the Candidate Web Portal. Page 7
