4 Solar-Log WEB Enerest Home may vary. 1 Solar-Log WEB Enerest Home 1.1 General With Solar-Log WEB Enerest, there are several changes to the use and interface of the WEB platform. The following page is displayed as the welcome screen for the Classic 2nd Edition since the migration to Solar-Log WEB Enerest. Fig.: Welcome Screen of WEB Enerest Registered users log on to the site by clicking on the log in symbol on the top right and entering their user name and password. New users need to fill out the Solar-Log WEB Enerest registration form. Once the registration is completed, an is sent with a confirmation link. After you have confirmed the registration with this link, you can log on to the portal. Note It is important to remember the password that was created during the registration since it will not be sent in the with the access data. => The password can be changed at any time in the "Personal Information" menu of the Account section. Note The address used for the registration can only be used once. An additional registration is not possible with this address. 4

5 Solar-Log WEB Enerest Home 1.2 Accounts for Existing Users The user goes to the Account Welcome Screen after logging in. Fig.: Example of the welcome screen after logging in Here all of the plants are displayed on a pinboard 1.3 Accounts for Newly Registered Users Newly registered users log in from the account symbol with the access data received by and the assigned password. After that the following welcome screen appears: Fig.: Example of the welcome screen after registration From the login symbol, you have to go to "My Plants" or directly to the link "My Plants" under the welcome screen to create a new plant that is visible on the plant pinboard (see chapter 1.2). See below in the "My Plants" section for more details. 5

6 2 Account Welcome Screen The account start page consists of three sections: the header bar, the plant pinboard (all of the plants created and used for the plant comparison are displayed here) and the "navigation." 2.1 Header bar The following tabs are located in the header bar: Language ("German" in the example) FAQ Support Account (User Symbol and Account Name) Account The menus can be accessed from the Account section: My Plants Payment Personal information Guest Accounts Logout Note Please make sure that the correct server is used for the login (the server listed in the with the access data), e.g. otherwise it will not be possible to log in. My Plants The plant name, the Enerest package ordered and plant size (kwp) are displayed under "My Plants." Additional plants can be created by clicking on the plus symbol. Note Every plant has a test period with the L package for 30 days by default. The package booked later depends on the size of the plant. 6

7 There is the option to make various changes to the plant once it has been selected. 8 Manual Data Import The data that is available from the Solar-Log but has not been transfered yet can be imported in this section. Select the import format: Daily Data Minute Data Then select the import period with the calendar function or click on the "Complete" button for the entire period. Click on the "Import" button to complete the process (see the following illustrations). Fig.: Example of a manual import Payment All of the relevant data concerning payments is shown in this section. 9 Guest Accounts In the Guest Accounts sections, access can be granted to third-parties to view the plant data. Go to the Guess Accounts section and then click on the plus symbol to "Create guest account" (see the illustration: "Example of creating a guest account") The following information needs to be entered: Name: The name used to identify the guest This address serves as the user name for guest access Password: A personalized password for the guess account is saved here. Plant: Here the plant can be selected to which the guest will be granted access. Click on "Save" to activate the Guess Account. Fig.: Example of creating a guest account Note No changes can be made to the plant with a guest account. An unlimited number of guest accounts can be created, but only one per address. The address entered here cannot be used for plant registration. Log Out Click here to log out of the portal. 9

10 Did you forget your password? If you forget or loss the password, you can use the "Recover Password" function. Fig.: Recover password function With this function, the window "Recover Password" appears (see the following figures): Fig.: Password recovery You have to enter a registered in this box. Click on "Request Password" to have a new password sent to this address. After logging on, the password can be changed in the Personal Information Password menu. 11 Note When several accounts have the same address, the "Recover Password" window appears after the has been entered. There is an additional box to enter the serial number of the Solar-Log. => With the introduction of Solar-Log WEB-Enerest, it is no longer possible to have several accounts with the same address. Note Please make sure that the correct server is used for the login (the server listed in the with the access data), e.g. otherwise it will not be possible to log in. Support From the Support tab, you can go directly to the support section of our website to take advantage of the many options for assistance. Language Here you can select a different language for the portal. 2.2 Navigation links The follow items can be selected on the left side below the registration name entered: Account name, with the plant name(s) below and the following items: Graphics Events Dashboard (only with the Packages L and XL) Yield Overview (only with the Packages L and XL) Reporting (only with the Packages L and XL) Welcome Map Plants 11

12 2.2.1 Graphic The graphic display of the daily curve is located under the Graphic menu. This contains different values (depending on the connected components) that can be explicitly selected or deselected and displayed with the magnifying glass icon (see the illustration: "Example of a daily graphic with values"). Fig.: Example plant with additional values displayed The displayed values are described in detail below. The sunrise and sunset can be displayed moving the mouse over the sun symbol. Note The 70% display is not available with the M package. Switching between overviews Move your mouse to the inverted triangle on the left next to the displayed period. An overview of the periods is displayed. Click on the desired period. The overview graphic for the selected period is displayed. Use the calender function on the right below the period's context menu to select an exact date (see the following illustration). Fig.: Example of the period's context menu 12

13 Daily Graph The daily yields are displayed as a curve graph. The dark green line indicates the daily target yield. The different values throughout the day can be displayed by moving the mouse along the curve. Daily Overview selection buttons Yield: Yield curve from which the yield performance can be observed. Additionally, the dark green line indicates the daily target yield total. DC voltage: Generator voltage; To view the voltage of individual strings, only one inverter can be selected. kwp: Switches the scale from "Output in watt" to "Output in kw/kwp." After that, all of the curves will be comparable in regard to their specific output. Diminishing module performance can also be recognized. 24h: This displays the output for every hour of the day in comparison to the consumption for the entire day. Additional functions with a power meters The following displays are additionally available when a power meter is connected to the Solar-Log : CM: Displays the power consumption of your building as a graphic in watts. Cons.: Displays the power consumption of your building as a curve in kwh. Values: Displays various values for your inverter as text. Balances: Displays the relation between your power consumption and yield. In the box at bottom on the left, the ration is also displayed as a percentage. Additional functions with the Sensor Box The following displays are additionally available when a Sensor Box is connected to the Solar-Log. Solar: Displays the reference value from an irradiation sensor. The plant's daily output has to lie within the range measured by the sensor. M C: Displays the module temperature that is measured by the Sensor Box. A C: Displays the ambient temperature. This is measured by the ambient temperature sensor. Wind: Displays the wind speed and strength. These values are measured by the wind sensor. Note! The Sensor Box has to be in the same module field as the monitored inverter to correctly visualize it in WEB. => Information about module fields in Chapter 3.2 "Performance Monitoring" of the User Manual Click on the selection button and then on the magnifying glass icon. The selected curve is displayed. 13

14 Explanation of the current and daily values Name Unit Description Feed-in power Pac W Current amount of feed-in power P on the AC side. Generator output P1, P2, P3 W Current amount of feed-in power P on the DC side (Solar generator), per MPP tracker When there are several inverters, this is the sum of the corresponding output parts (MPP tracker). Efficiency of Inverter % The current efficiency 'eta' from the generator power and feed-in power. The manufacturer's specification on the inverter's efficiency can be checked here. Status / Errors Status codes and depending on the inverter error codes. The codes displayed are manufacturer-specific and need to be looked up in the particular inverter's manual. The same status notifications are always combined. "MPP" appears when all of the inverters are in MPP mode. However, if one of them, for example is derating, then it would look like this: "2xMpp, 1xDerating" self-consumption share % The ratio of solar energy consumed locally to the total amount of energy generated. degree of self-sufficiency % The ratio of self-consumption of solar power to the total amount of consumption. Daily yield kwh The daily total. Daily yield Euro The daily sum multiplied by the feed-in tariff. Daily yield specific kwhp The daily total divided by the plant size. This value is a good reference value when comparing plants. Maximum value W The maximum value for one day. Target kwh The Solar-Log runs a forecasting statistics function that specifies a certain target value for each month. The monthly target is converted to a daily target and displayed here. If the target value or higher has been achieved, the forecasted output has been produced. Actual % The actual value displayed as percentage of the daily yield target. Total amount of C0 2 emissions avoided t Total amount of C0 2 emissions avoided. 14

15 Monthly Overview The daily yields from a month are displayed as a total in a bar graph. The dark green line indicates the month's target yield. Move the mouse above one of the day bars to display the respective daily yield Click on a single bar to display the respective daily curve Fig.: Example plant Month View Annual Overview The monthly yields from a year are displayed as a total in a bar graph. The dark green lines indicate the annual target yield. The forecast value is calculated from the yields already achieved for the year and from the projected yields from the remaining months of the year. Move the mouse above one of the month bars to display the respective monthly yield Click on a single bar to display the respective monthly overview Fig.: Example plant Annual Overview 15

16 Total Overview The individual annual yields are displayed as a total in a bar graph. The dark green line indicates the annual target yield. Two green lines are then displayed for the current year: The top line indicates the annual target. The bottom line indicates the accumulated annual yield compared to the annual target. Move the mouse above one of the year bars to display the respective annual yield Click on a single bar to display the respective annual overview Click on Linear Overview Years to display the total yield for all of the years Fig.: Example plant Total Overview Displaying Values Additional values can be accessed from values on the right in the list. The particular values depend on the period (day, month, year or total overview) and the devices connected and configured. The following is an example plant with an inverter, two EGO heating rods, a subconsumer and a consumption meter. Values Daily Overview The energy balance is displayed with self-consumption calculation in the daily overview with the following values: Total yield (displayed in yellow) Total consumption Covered consumption (displayed in green) Uncovered consumption (displayed in red) Self-consumption rate as a percentage (self-consumption proportional to total yield) Degree of self-sufficiency as a percentage (ratio of solar power consumed locally to total power consumption) 16

17 Fig.: Example plant Daily Overview Values Monthly Overview Values In the monthly overview, the following values are shown in two sections: columns: Total yield Specific yield Target value (cumulative) Daily Value section (each day of the month is listed individually) is displayed with the following Yield/Target Followed with the total of each individual column. Consumption meter section: Every day with the corresponding consumption. After that the total of the total monthly consumption. The values can be printed or saved as a text or CSV file with the print, text and CSV functions (on the right below the table edge). 17

20 2.2.2 Events Plant events can be viewed from the Event menu on the left. A list of all plant events from the last 35 days is displayed (see the illustration: "Example Event list (in part)" Fig.: Example Event list (in part) Use the filter function to view a particular event or events from a particular day within the last 35 days. Fig.: Example of an event list with a filter set The following filters can be set: Device/inverter selection Day Status Error The filter selection can be cleared by using the "Reset Filter" function (top right). The "Export" function can be used to save the selection to a CSV file. 20

21 2.2.3 Dashboard (only with the Packages L and XL) The Dashboard option provides a dynamic display of all of the important plant information such as yield. CO 2 reduction and current output. The Dashboard can also be customized with various modules. All you have to do is click on the tile symbol to add and remove modules. 2.3 Yield Overview (only with the Packages L and XL) In the yield overview, you have the option to view the yields from the plant in total or from the individual inverters (see illustration). 21

22 2.4 Reporting (only with the Packages L and XL) Depending on the ordered package, reports can be created in this section. After clicking on the plus symbol (visible once the row has been selected), one has the option to create a report from the following categories (see the following illustration): Plant yields Energy balance Power management Annual Overview Note Five reports can be created with the L package and an unlimited number with the XL package. 22

23 2.4.1 Plant yields A plant yield report can be created in the Plant yields section. For the first step, the following definitions are available (see the illustration: Example Plant yields): Name: The name of the report can be entered here. Data logger: Select the data logger that the report is to be created for (this is automatically entered when there is only one plant). Report Output Category: Report output category determines, for example, if the report is automatically generated. Transfer: Here you can define if the report should be sent, for example, by . File type: File type determines if the report is exported as a CSV or PDF file. The following items can also be selected or deselected: Specific yield Profit in Currency Difference from previous year Show Graphic Fig.: Example Plant yields 23

24 The following options are to be configured in the second step: Language: Here the language for the report can be defined. Interval: Here you can define the intervals in which the automatic report is to be sent (daily, weekly, monthly or yearly). Start of the Period: The start of the period can be set with the calendar function, i.e. when a weekly interval has been defined, the period selected here is when the report starts. End of the Period: The end of the period can be set with the calendar function. Recipients from the database: Here the recipient of the report can be selected with the pencil symbol (this is automatically entered when there is only one address). Additional Recipients: Up to four additional recipients for the report can be added here. Active: This option determines this report is immediately active. After that save the report Energy balance A self-consumption report can be created in the Energy balance section. For the first step, the following definitions are available (see the illustration: Name: The name of the report can be entered here. Data logger: Select the data logger that the report is to be created for (this is automatically entered when there is only one plant). Report Output Category: Report output category determines, for example, if the report is automatically generated. Transfer: Here you can define if the report should be sent, for example, by . The following items can also be selected or deselected: Graphic for the yield Graphic for the consumption balance Graphic for the consumption The second step is identical to that of the plant yield report. 24

25 2.4.3 Power Management An overview of all of the power management rules can be created as a report in the Power Management section. For the first step, the following definitions are available (see the illustration: Name: The name of the report can be entered here. Data logger: Select the data logger that the report is to be created for (this is automatically entered when there is only one plant). Report Output Category: Report output category determines, for example, if the report is automatically generated. Transfer: Here you can define if the report should be sent, for example, by . File type: File type determines if the report is exported as a CSV or PDF file. The second step is identical to that of the plant yield report Annual Overview An overview of a data logger based on absolute or specific values can be created as a report with an optional graphical representation in the Annual Overview section. For the first step, the following definitions are available: Name: The name of the report can be entered here. Data logger: Select the data logger that the report is to be created for (this is automatically entered when there is only one plant). Report Output Category: Report output category determines, for example, if the report is automatically generated. Transfer: Here you can define if the report should be sent, for example, by . File type: File type determines if the report is exported as a CSV or PDF file. Time Period: The content can be limited with the defined time period. The last 5 or 10 years or the entire period are available for the selection. Select the values to be used in the report: Absolute yield Specific yield Both (for File type selection CSV) Unit (for File type selection PDF) The following units can be assigned here: kwh MWh GWh Exclude current year Show Graphic (for File type selection PDF) The second step is identical to that of the plant yield report. After saving the report, you are automatically taken to the newly created report. You can also go to the 25

26 report from the Reporting menu on the left. All of the existing reports are listed under this menu (see illustration: "Example of existing reports expanded list"). This can be deleted or edited at a later time by clicking on the report or with the visible symbols when an individual report is selected. Clicking on the arrow symbol takes you directly to the archive where all of the reports that have been sent are saved. A report can be edited by selecting it and clicking on the pencil symbol or by opening it directly with a mouse click. Two tabs are then shown: Information: The report 's name, send interval, next schedule report, period and recipients are located in this tab. Settings: All of the defined values can be adjusted as needed here. Fig.: Example of existing reports expanded list 2.5 Welcome Clicking on Welcome takes you to the Solar-Log WEB-Enerest Home Welcome Screen. 26

27 2.6 Map This provides you a map where a search with the zip code can be performed. The following information is displayed with a mouse-over: The zip code area, the plants installed in this area, the installed output and the current total output. The plant search itself with filter options is available on the next levels (see the "Plants" chapter"). Fig.: Map search It is also possible to use the Map Satellite function as alternative search method. There is the option to deactivate the designations while the map is scrolling. Use the + and - buttons on the edge to zoom in and out. 2.7 Plants A plant search can be performed in plants on the left in the menu. You can enter search criteria in the following mask. 28 A search can be filtered with the following options: Zip code Plant size from to Production year Module type Orientation from to Roof pitch from to The search results can be filtered even further by activating the following options: with image with current data with irradiation sensor The search can be displayed with the "Plants" button. The search results overview of the plants includes the number of installed inverters, their power output, orientation and roof pitch. A standard default image is used if there is no publicly viewable image available. You can also find an overview of the current plant yields in the column on the right. Saving plants as favorites Plants can also be saved in the favorites. These plants appear a diagram on the left under Favorites and Plants. Go to the "Plants" menu on the left to create favorites. After that perform a plant search. From the search results, click on the star symbol to save the plant as a favorite (see the following illustration: "Example saving plant as a favorite"). Both publicly visible and non-publicly visible plants can be saved as favorites. For non-publicly visible plants, this is only relevant if these plants will be switched to publicly visible in the foreseeable future to be able to use the values. You can tell by the plant image if it is a publicly visible plant or not. Publicly visible plants have the "Go to Plant" link. (See illustration: "Example of a publicly visible plant"). Favorites can be removed by clicking on the star again.
