3 3 System requirements No special PC hardware is requir, although a USB 2.0 interface or higher is necessary for the USB to RS485 adapter cable (Steca order number and ). Please note: To install the and the individual components, you and your er account require local administrator rights on the PC in question. In all versions of Windows, you will require the driver "CDM " for the USB to RS485 adapter cable and the driver "solarbif" for the StecaGrid SEM. 4 Preparation and installation - Install Microsoft.NET Framework 4 if it is not already install. Microsoft.NET Framework 4 can be download and install as a standalone installer from the Microsoft Download Centre. - Install the - If necessary, install the driver "CDM " for the USB to RS485 adapter cable. - If necessary, install the driver "solarbif" for the StecaGrid SEM. When the is install, the installation wizard will create a folder on your desktop nam "SEM Driver". This folder contains the necessary driver. Alternatively, you can download it from the following website. 5 Start-up Connect the USB to RS485 adapter cable to a USB interface (2.0 or higher) on your PC and then to one of the two RS485 interfaces (RJ45 socket) of the StecaGrid grid-fe inverter. Alternatively, you can connect the StecaGrid SEM and its USB cable to a USB interface on your PC. When doing so, please take note of the relevant points in the installation and operating instructions for the StecaGrid grid-fe inverter and the StecaGrid SEM energy and fe-in manager. Import Database A Windows dialogue window (Open) will appear where you can select a *.udb file in order to import a full database will all projects. Country code database update A Windows dialogue window (Open) will appear where you can select an *.xml file in order to update the country code list. Close The is clos. Project New Edit Select The "Solar Project Editor" will appear in a new window where you can enter characteristics of a new project, e.g. name, information, location and orientation. In the "Solar Project Editor" window, you can it the project characteristics, e.g. name, information, location and orientation, of the currently select open project. Graphical view The yields are display as a curve chart (daily curves) or bar graph (monthly, annual, total histogram). Tabular view The yields are display in tables as a 10-minute average value (daily curves) or as a total yield (monthly, annual, total histogram). Yield control Transmit The yield data stor in the currently select project or the database are sent to an individual device or all select devices. Attention: The yield data in the internal data logger of the select StecaGrid grid-fe inverters will be overwritten. 7 Measurement values Selection of individual devices The selection displays all devices, such as StecaGrid grid-fe inverters and the individual devices can be select and deselect. Country code tools Transmit The country settings select from the list of available countries will be sent to the select inverters. Attention: The country setting mt be delet in advance in order that it can be re-sent. Delete The country settings for the select inverters will be delet. Receive The current country settings and the list of available country settings for the select inverters will be retriev. Event messages Selection of individual devices The selection displays all devices, such as StecaGrid grid-fe inverters and the individual devices can be select and deselect. Event message entries This list contains all information, warnings and errors for the select inverters. Event message control Delete The event messages are delet from the display or list of the StecaGrid User / Service. The event messages will remain stor in the inverter. 8 StecaGrid SEM An overview of the individual operating modes (power control, ripple control signal, relay control, EasyBox mode) and their functions is describ in detail in the data sheet "ENERGY MANAGEMENT StecaGrid SEM". Attention: Please also follow the installation and operating instructions of the StecaGrid SEM. Power control Power limit [watts] The fe-in capacity (e.g. 70 % of the maximum PV generator power) into the public grid will be limit to this value. Power measurement Pulses per kwh (S0 interface) The pulse constant of the connect energy meter mt be enter here. The pulse constant can be found in the data sheet issu by the manufacturer of the energy meter. Relay output control If this box is check, the relay contact of the StecaGrid SEM will be activat and the following parameters can be configur. Switch on parameters Power threshold [watts] The relay contact will be clos as soon as the power f into the grid meets this value, th activating the load connect to the relay contact. Attention: The power threshold mt be lower than the maximum power. Switch on parameters Hold time [s] (overshoot) The power f into the grid mt be constantly higher than the power threshold value for the time period indicat here. Only then will the relay contact actually be activat. This can prevent the relay contact constantly being activat and deactivat due to passing clouds and the resulting temporary peaks in irradiation. Switch on parameters Delay time [s] This is the minimum time period for which the relay contact is to remain clos once it is activat. Switch off parameters Power threshold [watts] The relay contact will be open as soon as the power f into the grid falls below this value, th deactivating the load connect to the relay contact. Please note that the f-in power will fall by the power value of the connect load if the relay is clos. Example: If a load with a power of 500 W is activat when there is an excess power of 800 W and deactivat again when there is an excess power of 600 W, the value here mt be 100 W becae with an excess power of 600 W, 500 W is directly consum by the load and only 100 W is f into the grid. Only then will the relay contact actually be open. Ripple control signal Enabl If the control box is check, the defin switching state will be activat in the inputs K4, K3, K2 and K1 of the StecaGrid SEM. K4, K3, K2, K1 These rows list all permissible switching states for the inputs K4, K3, K2 and K1. Limit [%] This defines the output power to which the connect inverters are to be limit for the defin switching state. The value is display as a percentage of the rat power of the inverters. Relay control Enabl If the control box is check, the defin switching state will be activat in the inputs K4, K3, K2 and K1 of the StecaGrid SEM. If one of the switching states is reach, the relay contact of the StecaGrid SEM will close. K4, K3, K2, K1 These rows list all permissible switching states for the inputs K4, K3, K2 and K1.
