1 ONLINE DEALER PORTAL GUIDE Log In to the Dealer Portal Welcome to the CarLink Dealer Portal. Access to the Dealer Portal is needed in order to begin activating & testing CarLink units. If you have not already done so, you must apply for dealer access by submitting the dealer portal access form at To log into the dealer portal, visit and enter your and password. The address you submitted on the dealer portal access form will be your login for this site, your password was sent to the same address.

2 Updating your Profile Once logged in, you can change your profile information as well as your password to the site by clicking HOME then selecting the Update Profile link. Enter your necessary changes and click the update box.

3 Activating CarLink To activate a unit click Dealer Tools then click the Install or Diagnose button. @domain.com Enter the 19 digit ICC ID/SIM number supplied in the CarLink kit and click begin. @domain.com

4 The initial installation of a unit will guide you through each step in chronological order highlighting the next step. A green check mark is added after each step is completed successfully. Steps that have been marked with a green check can always be repeated later if needed. 1. Select Activate SIM to begin the process. From the next screen, click Continue to complete step 1. The Activate SIM link will now have a green check mark indicating successful completion of step 1

All of the CarLink functions can be assigned as a Serial function (data message to a host alarm/remote start system) or to any one of the analog outputs (stand-alone install). Each analog output can be configured for a 1, 3, or 10 second negative pulse upon activation. When finished, click Continue.

6 4. Select Test Installation, and the following screen will automatically begin test. Once completed successfully, the each part of the test will display a green check next to each item. NOTE: If any of the items are show with a red X, recheck all of your connections and the module s position (for cellular connectivity) and select Retry to restart the test. If the device continues to fail contact Omega tech support for assistance at TECH(8324). Trunk Once the unit is activated and all communications tests pass (green checks on all items), you can test the functions that were selected previously during set up by clicking the function buttons. NOTE: Once the customer has linked the ICC ID/SIM to an account, no functions we be available if this test is used later for troubleshooting an installation. You ll need to troubleshoot using the customer s phone app.

7 5. Click Give Passcode to Customer where you can select the method in which to have the customer receive the passcode for attaching the device to their account. You can choose to either the passcode to the customer or have it sent via SMS text message to their smartphone (you ll need to know their phone service provider). Also be sure to write the passcode on the Quick Reference Guide that was included with the system and give it to the customer. 1234

8 6. Select Push Mobile App to Customer. Enter the customers mobile phone number along with the carrier from the drop down box and click the Send button. NOTE: If the mobile phone carrier is not listed in the drop down box, refer them to locate the app through their phone s specific site - Android Market Place, BlackBerry App World, iphone App Store. Successful Activation and Installation Completed Once completing all 6 steps you will be returned to the beginning list and all steps will have a green check mark.
