1 PLM PRODUCT INFORMATION Agricultural Equipment UK & ROI Precision Farming Reference UK- PLM_06_13 Date: 13 th May 2013 VRS Service Activation for DCM-300 Modems A new part number and ordering process has been released all previous part numbers are no longer valid. The new part number for the DCM-300 is ZTN in addition to the modem kit part number ZTN VRS/N-Trip Upgrade & Antenna Kit must also be ordered if the user plans to use the modem for VRS or N-Trip. Once order new process must be followed to activate the DCM-300 modem VRS/N-Trip Upgrade. STEP 1 Place an order for DCM-300 modem (ZTN ) and for VRS/N-Trip (ZTN ) and the cable kit for the screen/receiver (see table below). STEP 2 your New Holland Administrator eugpsreceiverupgrade@cnh.com with the following information: Modem Part Number to be unlocked Modem Serial Number to be unlocked CSPS Number for the order of ZTN Customer address: This address must be associated with an active PLM Connect account. Alternatively a dealer associated with an active PLM Connect account can be used for activation, however this requires an ownership transfer in the future if additional PLM Connect services are purchased for the modem. The used for activation must have a PLM Connect account associated with it to receive service activations. To create an PLM Connect account: Go to plmconnect.newholland.com and click the Create an Account link. Complete the required fields; including a contact . Click Register. Once you have completed the registration, log in to plmconnect.newholland.com and accept the terms of use. STEP 3 The activation of the VRS option is delivered wirelessly to the DCM-300 modem via the PLM Connect application. The address listed above will receive an confirmation once the activation is complete. At this stage, the modem can receive the upgrade wirelessly (overthe-air) from the server.

2 Note: To receive an upgrade from the PLM Connect server, the modem must be powered on and have an active cellular connection. 3 (Modems ZTN ) Frequently Asked Questions Q. Does the VRS Service Activation for the above part numbers require the use of the web service tool? A. No, the upgrade is completed wirelessly (over-the-air) from the PLM Connect server. The PLM Connect account must be valid and the user must have logged in and accepted the legal agreements. Q. Is a display required to complete the activation? A. Yes, without a display or computer (webservice tool), it will be very difficult to configure the SIM card to make the cellular connection. Q. Is a passcode required to complete the activation? A. No, passcodes are no longer used to activate a newly purchased modems. Q. Does the customer need a PLM Connect account, even if they are just using VRS? A. Yes the account is required even if the customer is only using VRS. Q. On a New Holland Telematics DCM-300 Asset Tracking modem, how do I verify that the upgrade has taken place? A. This can be verified using the FM-750 or FM-1000 Display or by using the Web Service Tool.

4 Creating an PLM Connect account A PLM Connect account is required in order to activate VRS service on a DCM-300 modem. 1. In order to register for an PLM Connect account, the customer should go to the PLM Connect website and click on Create an account plmconnect.newholland.com

5 2. Fill in the required registration information and click Register 3. After registering, a verification will be sent. Click on Create Account link in address to create the account. 4. A confirmation will be sent. Click on the Login link and login using address and password. After login, accept the user agreement and then account setup will be complete.
