1 Greek Council Minutes 10/05/2017 Meeting start at 7:00pm,2 nd : TDX Guest Speaker: Larry Mannolini Shoutout to Joli for everything she s done in Delhi!Unfortunately she will be leaving us While they refill her position, he will be filling in as the Greek Advisor. Events and what not will be dealt with among Larry, Nick, and their assistant. If it s not working out, then they may result to assigning chapters to certain advisors. They will work to try to make the transition as seamless as possible. Filling the Position: They've started the process of looking for a replacement and are going over the job expectations and duties for the new person. They will be doing a national search. They want to have a student be on the search committee so they will get back to us about that. They will weed it down to 3-4 finalist and then they will do specialized interviews. It will be as quick as they can but as slow as they must. It could go for the rest of the semester if they don't find the perfect candidate. He is experienced in the Greek world so we aren't left with a novice. He is excited to work with a brand new group of people. Vice President: Alex Sanchez, UDE Office Hours: Mondays, 10-11AM President: Joseph Cannova Jr, BKX Office Hours: Monday 3-5pm, Thursday 12-1pm Over break, he will create a speech that will be available on Vancko on Thursday. Greek Unity Day conflicts with the holiday parade so it is at 2:00pm instead of 12:00pm Go to the committees if you have any questions!

4 Advisor - Joliana Hunter-Ellin Office Hours: Monday- Friday 9am-5pm hunterjc@delhi.edu Phone: Her last day in Delhi is October 18th and Larry will go over how the process will go for the next few months. Keep things going after she's gone! The Greek standards program will continue once she's gone as well as all intake processes... Committees Events Chair: Leslie Almanzar, SOE Meeting Date/Time: Holiday day parade is the day and time of Greek unity day so it is now December 2nd at 2:00pm instead of 12:00pm We will schedule a meeting to discuss the events coming up. Standards and Traditions Chair: Nick Lane, KSE Meeting Date/Time They ve been working with the Recognition & Retention committee and they're making changes for the better in the constitution! We need to be more involved on campus so we will propose : 1) Article 3, Section 5: orgs must complete one event with their Greek week partner-> it's staying, just moving to subsection 3 2) Article 3, Section 4 -> must hold 2 events per semester-> they want to change it to 4 events per semester, tabling activities count! Must be by yourself, not other orgs

5 3) Co-sponsor 2 events per semester. It can be Greeks, clubs, or academic department 4) New membership: if new org was to join recognized club on camp, they will be on probation for 1 year. They want to get changes going on! We will vote next week! Make Greek life how it should be on campus! Community Service Chair: Leanne Ryan, BKX Meeting Date/Time: There s still no committee, we need people so come and join! My office hours are 1-2 on Tuesday's. Recognition and Retention Chair: Alex Sanchez, UDE Meeting Date/Time: Same as the Standards and Tradition notes! They are also going to make a motion to combine Standards and Traditions with Recognition and Retention since they go hand in hand. Finance Chair: Jessica Lis, ZDT Meeting Date/Time BDE allocation got approved. If people want to join, tell them to her ASAP! They re probably going to do meetings next week. Fund allocations will be presented in new business..

6 Other Old Business: Springbrook is having a family day on Saturday the 14th from 10-4:30 at the location in Oneonta. They need people. If your orgs are interested, Abigail in the OCCE office. You would be running carnival inflatables. Interims are going to remain interims until October 19 th.
