Your BCA s next Town Hall Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 20 th at the Bentwater Yacht Club. The meeting will run from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and will feature a representative from Habitat For Humanity of Montgomery County, TX (HabitatMCTX). This will be your opportunity to learn about this fine organization and the work it does in our community. It will also be your chance to find out how you can get involved in helping those less fortunate in our area. See the flyer that is attached to this Newsletter for further details. We hope that you will plan to attend. This event is FREE, and is open to EVERYONE in Bentwater! No reservations or required. There will be a cash bar and complimentary refreshments will be served. See you there!! DON T FORGET ABOUT THE UPCOMING HOUSEHOLD CHEMICAL & PAINT RECYCLING EVENT!! Mark your calendars!! The BCA will be holding its annual Household Chemical and Paint Recycling Event on Saturday, October 20 th at the North Shore Church parking lot. The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. and run until Noon, or until the truck fills up. The attached flyer has all the details about what can and cannot be recycled at this event. We hope to see you there! CALLING ALL CANDIDATES! It s hard to believe that we are more than halfway through 2018! To that end, the BCA has begun its search for BCA members who might be interested in serving on the BCA Board. Elections will be held in October. We will have three (3) Board seats to fill this year, so if you have an interest in giving back to our fine community this organization is for you! If you are interested in serving please contact us as soon as possible!

If your membership dues ($20.00 per household) are not automatically deducted by the Club, we ask that you please make your check payable to the Bentwater Civic Association. 4 ATTENTION!! ATTENTION!! ATTENTION!! Bentwater Civic Association News! Mark your calendars everyone!! Your Bentwater Civic Association will be holding a special Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, September 20 th at the Bentwater Yacht Club. The event will run from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A representative from Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, TX (HabitatMCTX) will be our guest speaker. HabitatMCTX is a non-profit organization serving low-income individuals and families in Montgomery County by providing affordable housing that is safe and economically sustainable. Serving the community since 1989, HabitatMCTX relies solely on the generosity and commitment of individuals, businesses, churches, schools, and various other organizations. HabitatMCTX has established Cedar Creek, a neighborhood in southeast Conroe entirely made up of Habitat families. When complete, Cedar Creek will have over 100 homes within its 4 phases (sections). Helping a family cross the threshold into a new home and subsequently a new life is one of the most powerful things you can be a part of. This will be your opportunity to learn about this great organization and to find out how you can get involved. We hope you will come and join us for what will be a very informative presentation. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT IS FREE, OPEN TO EVERYONE THAT LIVES IN BENTWATER AND NO RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED!! Is it time to finally get rid of all those old cans of paint and household chemicals that are cluttering up your garage and attic?? The Bentwater Civic Association can help you with that!! Your BCA will be holding its annual Household Chemical and Paint Recycling Event on Saturday, October 20 th at the North Shore Church parking lot beginning at 10:00 a.m. sharp. The event will end at Noon or when the truck fills up, whichever occurs first. Please note that there will be a nominal cost of disposal of $10.00 per every 5 gallons of paint that is dropped off. We ONLY ACCEPT CASH; preferably in small bills since change will be limited. This is a very popular event so make sure to come early before the truck fills up!! BCA Board Members will be available on site to assist you. ITEMS THAT CAN BE RECYCLED: Oil Based, Latex & Spray Paints - $10.00 CHARGE FOR EVERY 5 GALLONS. Stains, Varnishes, Turpentine & Solvents NO CHARGE. Craft & Hobby Chemicals NO CHARGE. Household Cleaners & Polishes NO CHARGE. Degreasers NO CHARGE. Drain Cleaners NO CHARGE. Cooking Oils NO CHARGE.
