2 2 Omicron Delta Kappa Point System Members with the appropriate amount of points are considered full time members and will be able to vote for next year s board and will receive graduation cords. Members inducted in Fall 2010 must have 132 points ( ) Members inducted in Spring 2011 must have 110 points ( ) Members inducted in Spring 2012 must have 88 points ( ) Members inducted in Fall 2012 must have 55 points ( ) Members inducted in Spring 2013 must have 33 points (11+22) (Members inducted in Fall 2012, Spring 2013, and Fall 2013 were inducted midway through the semester, and therefore only responsible for half the points requirement in their first semester) Current Total Possible Points: 2 Total Required Points Fall 2013: 22 All excess points will carry over to the next semester EVERYTHING FOR POINTS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY: The third meeting/points deadline, date TBD CONTEST You will not get extra points for handing in > 6 cans, > 60 soda tabs, or > 6 cell phones. Instead, there will be 4 equal prizes distributed this semester. Following are the ways to win: 1 - Having the most points 2 Handing in the most soda tabs 3 Handing in the most canned goods 4 Handing in the most cell phones

3 3 Attendance at all of the meetings = 6 points max Each meeting = 2 points Meetings are NOT mandatory, just a way to get points and participate things such as voting, in meeting projects, etc. Writing letters to soldiers = 3 points max 1 letter = 1 point. Up to 3 different letters. Done at meeting 2. If you cannot attend the meeting, feel free to write them on your own and give to a board member. Continued submissions of a letter until the due date of all points. Writing Letters to Sick Children= 3 points max 1 letter=1 point. Up to 3 different letters. Done at meeting 3. If you cannot attend the meeting, feel free to write them on your own and give to a board member any day BEFORE the 3 rd meeting. Continued submissions of a letter until the due date of all points. Hand in cans of food by the due date of all points = 6 points max 1 can=1 point For the Delaware Food Bank Canned goods can be dropped off at meetings. Put your cans in a bag with your name on it to get credit. Hand in 60 soda tabs by the due date of all points = 2 points Over 300 soda tabs = 2 extra points Soda tabs can be dropped off at meetings. Put your soda tabs in a bag with your name on it & the number of soda tabs to get credit. For those who do not know what a soda tab is: It is the metal piece that you move back and forth to open a can Soda tabs will go towards the Ronald McDonald House Pop Tab Collection Program Hand in old cell phone(s) = 12 points Max - Each cell phone = 2 points Cell phones can be dropped off at meetings. Put your cell phones in a bag with your name on it to get credit. Cell phones will be programed so domestic violence victims can hit any key to dial 911 Any cell phones that cannot be fixed, will be recycled and contribute towards the finances of local shelters For more information, please look under resources on Sakai Induction Ceremony Attendance Only applies if you were not being inducted at the particular Ceremony = 2 points 2 points for supporting the newest inductees Date and time TBD After ceremony, the sign- in will be at the podium

4 4 Community Service Hours Unaffiliated with ODK = 6 points max 1 point per hour Proof will consist of the document on page 5 that must be signed by the person in charge of the volunteer service and a picture as specified in the document. Large- Scale ODK Service Project = 4 points 4 points for participating in a large service project More information about this will be provided as details are confirmed Picture Points = 4 points max 2 points for submitting a picture of yourself doing ODK related activities or other service activities in your ODK t- shirt Pictures may be posted onto our circle webpage Please feel free to submit more photos Members Events = 6 points max If there is any event or activity that you would like ODK Members to become involved in, the executive board at ODKappa@gmail.com and we will turn this event into a points opportunity 2 points for every event attended, maximum of 6 points. Save a program, ticket stub, or even take a picture while at the event.
