2 Bullying Definition Bullying is engaging in written or verbal expressions, expression through electronic means, or physical conduct that occurs on school property, at a schoolsponsored or school related activity, or in a vehicle operated by the district and that: (1) has the effect or will have the effect of physically harming a student, damaging a student s property, or placing a student in reasonable fear of harm to the student s person or damage to the student s property: or (2) is sufficiently severe, persistent, and pervasive enough that the action or threat creates an intimidating, threatening or abusive educational environment for the student. The conduct described above is considered bullying only if that conduct: (1) Exploits an imbalance of power between the student perpetrator and the student victim through written or verbal expression or physical conduct: and (2) Interferes with a student s education or substantially disrupts the operation of school.

7 Top Left Corner 1. Side Bar Menu: Tap side bar and go to Settings Settings 2. Pick your state, district, and school

8 3. Create a 4 digit passcode to finish setup. Choose something you can remember. 4. Options: You have the option to fill in your personal information Optional you do not have to fill in your personal information.

9 Tip Follow Up Button Bottom Right Corner 5. Tap My Tips Button Read and tap Security Info 6. Security Questions: These are optional but you are encouraged to fill out.

10 Bottom Right Corner 7. Pick and answer your security questions. 8. Create a 4 digit passcode to finish setup. Choose something you can remember.

13 How to Submit a Tip

14 Middle- Green Button 1. Tap Green Report Button Report/ Tip Submit Button You will be reminded that this is not for 911 emergency situations. If it is an emergency, call 911. Tap I Agree

15 1. Tap Green Report Button 2. Tip Submission Form - answer questions and give as much information as possible that pertains to the situation. Your can choose to remain Anonymous or change to your personal information. Note: If you filled in your name in during the set up, your first name will appear here. If you want Anonymous to always appear, go to the Side Bar and tap Settings. Delete your name.

16 Tap Send to submit tip. Continue to fill out tip submission form With all information that pertains to the tip. Note: You must at least pick a category and describe incident. Tap Send on the top right corner to submit tip.

17 Blue Buttons - Left and Right Side When you tap the Photo or Video Button, you will choose to take a photo or video through the app or upload a photo or video you already have on your device. After you take or upload your photo or video, the Tip Form will automatically come up. Fill out the Tip Form and press send. Your photo or video is sent with it. Note: Photos or Videos you take through the Mobile App will not be saved on your device.

18 How to Follow Up on a Tip You Have Submitted

19 Blue Button Bottom Right Corner My Tips Button - Tip Follow Up Password Protected You can follow up your tips and continue anonymous two-way communication. If your device is lost or stolen, tips you have sent cannot be seen without password or security question answers. My Tips Button - Tip Follow Up (During the app setup you should have created a password and answered security questions.)

20 Here is your list of the tips you sent. When you tap My Tips Button, you will put in the passcode you created during set up. Tap the tip to see and send responses. Type response here

25 Tip Follow Up You will be asked to create a password for tip follow up. Security Check Type the number you see here In the box. This is for security. Submit Tip Click Submit Tip Button to send. You will be given a Web Tip Code # for your tip. You will need this for tip follow up. Write it down.

26 Tip Follow Up Click Tip Follow Up Button Enter your Web Tip Code # and password You can now follow up on your sent tip: add new information and send responses.

27 Mass Alert Sign Up Receive alerts via or text. This is optional.

28 Text A Tip Each school will have their own keyword. Start the message with your keyword, followed by your tip. Send your text to your short code/phone #.
