4 Upgrade Client 9.0 and move to IHQ Server Upgrading Client A new version of the Integrated client has been released. The following how to articles explains how to install the new client on your computer and how to reconfigure your client to point to IHQ's Environment. By moving users to IHQ's system new features like video chat are available to all users. Please close out of Lotus Notes before attempting this installation. If you do not then you will recived the below error. After Notes is closed, look in the lower right hand corner of your screen next to the system clock and right click on the blue icon in your system tray as shown below. Page 4

5 Your My Apps page will come up and you will see the Upgrade Option to install. Click on Install. Once you click on Install, it will change from Downloading to Install (see below). The following message will appear when the installation is completed. Page 5

6 If you do not receive this message, please contact your IT Department by submitting a ticket to: USEHelpDesk@use.salvationarmy.org Modify Client to Point to IHQ Server Now that you have successfully upgraded the embedded Client it is time to repoint your software to IHQ's server. This is done be resetting your sametime client and entering the new settings for the IHQ server. Open Lotus Notes as you usually would. When Notes opens go to File ---> Preferences Page 6

7 Clicking on Preferences will open the following window. Choose --> Server Communities and click on Reset User as shown below. If the old server community (stime.use.salvationarmy.org) still appears in the list of server communities. Select and Remove Server Community (see picture below). Page 7

8 The following dialogue box will appear. Click Yes to complete the reset of your account. Now that your user account is reset it is time to enter the new setting for IHQ. On the Right hand side of your screen you will see your new Contacts client waiting for you to log in. Enter the settings below in order to log into the new system. Check the "Remember password" and "Automatically log in" options as well. Page 8

9 Your client is now repointed to the new IHQ server and you will see your normal contact list in your new client as shown below. Page 9

10 Adding additional servers for Video Chat Capabilities In order to enable Video Chat capabilites with other users on the IHQ Server it is necessary to add two additional settings in your Preference Settings. Start by opening your Lotus Notes Preferences again by following the steps in the picure below. In Preferences select Broadcast Tools Server from the menu on the left and add the below settings. 11 Finally add the setting from the Advanced Server as well. Click the OK button to complete this process. You will now notice when selecting users in your Contact list that are also on the IHQ server that you now have the option to Video Chat with them. Page 11

13 How to Set Up IBM on Your Mobile Device The folloing article will walk you through setting up IBM on your IOS (Apple) and Android devices. You can only be logged into one session at a time. So if you are logged into on your workstation and you then login to on your mobile device, you will be forced off of from the first device you loged in at. IOS (Apple Devices) 1. Open the App Store. 2. Search for the IBM App. 3. Download the app by tapping on the Free button. 4. Next tap on the Install button. You maybe prompted for your itunes userid and password. Page 13

14 5. When the app is downloaded you will see the window below with the Open button. Tap on the Open button. 6. Tap on "Community". Page 14

15 7. Tap on "My Company's server". 8. Configure the IBM app as follows and tap on Add. Name: Host Server : webchat.salvationarmy.org Page 15

16 Port : 443 Secure Connection : ON Allow Untrusted SSL: Off Login: First name space last name (Lotus notes login name i.e. dede smith) Password: Lotus notes password Remember Password: On Connection Type: Direct Connection 9. Answer the prompt above. Tap "Log In" to sign into sametime. You are now ready to use sametime. Android Devices 1. Tap Play Store. Page 16

17 2. Download the IBM App from the Play Store. 3. Tap on Install to install the app. 4. Tap "I Agree" for the Software License 5. Tap on Community 6. Tap on Add Server Community 7. Tap on My Company's server. 8. Enter the information below. Click your device's back button when finished. Tap ok when prompted to Save. 9. You are now ready to use sametime on your android device.
