1 Comerica Card Management System View and Update an Account You can view and update account and cardholder details with the Card Management System. Begin by selecting Account View/Update from the Account Maintenance tab. Search for an account to view and update.
2 The system defaults to Search for an Account Name. However, you can click the radio button to Search for an Account Number if you prefer. In our example, we will search for an account name and enter an account holder s name in the Account Name field. You can also leave this field blank to see a list of all accounts. If there is only one match on the account holder name you have entered, the system takes you directly to the Account View/Update page for that account. If there are multiple matches, you will see a list of those accounts from which to select the desired account. Click the Search button. In our example, we were taken directly to the matched account. If you need to modify your search or select a different account, click the appropriate link at the top of the Account View/Update page. The Account Status must show one of the active account descriptions in order to modify the account. A complete list of status descriptions can be found in the Commercial Card User Guide, in the Customer Service section. Below the Account Status, there is a tab for each of the various types of information you can update: Account Permissions, Demographics, Limits, Billing, and Account Summary. If you have a Fleet account, you will also see a tab for Fleet where you can reset the cardholder s PIN.
3 You can also navigate these tabs by selecting from the links at the bottom of the screen. In the Account Permissions tab, you have the option to block, activate, or cancel an account, and assign the fraud strategy. The options in the Account Permissions tab will be different depending on the account status. In our example, we have the option to temporarily block or cancel and assign the fraud strategy to the account. The Fraud Strategy section is used to place the override permission on the account for use when traveling outside of North America or the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Also, place the override permission if the merchants are located outside of North America. You can save the changes you made by clicking the Save button at the bottom of the screen at anytime. However, we recommend that you complete your updates in each tab first. Your updates will not take effect until you click Save.
4 In the Demographics tab, you can update any field that is in editable form, that is, it shows a box around the field. Data that is not boxed cannot be edited. The Primary Cardholder section shows the address where the card will be mailed. The last four digits of the Social Security Number or the SSN field are used as the code for the cardholder to access the Interactive Voice Response Unit or IVR. The toll free IVR telephone system provides the cardholder a 24-hour access to their card account balance and the last five transactions. If previously provided, the SSN field is populated with 9s for the first 5 digits and the last 4 digits of the cardholder s social security number. The last 4 digits may also be any 4-digit number. If not previously provided, we will populate the last 4 digits of the SSN field with the last 4 digits of your company number. If you have elected online statements for your program, the address in the Address field will be used to notify that the online statements are available. The Card Information section shows what is embossed on the card and the expiration date of the card.
5 In the Limits tab you can view and adjust the limits on an account. The MCC (Merchant Category Code) Group ID Information section shows you the purchase profile that the account has been authorized to use. In the Billing tab, if your program has been set up with a central billing account, it will appear in the Account section.
6 If you need to select a different central billing account, choose an account from the Pending Central Bill Account drop-down. The Level/Hierarchy ID shows where the card account is located. If changes are needed, select from the drop-down. Changes to the Pending Central Bill Account number will become effective the next statement cycle. Changes to the Level/Hierarchy ID will be effective the following business day. In Account Summary tab, a summary of the cardholder s account is shown. Information is current as of the prior business day. Click Save when you are done updating the account. The confirmation page shows that the account has been successfully updated.
